Matt Kelly explains why mold toxicity gets misdiagnosed as lupus, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and especially Lyme disease, which shares over 95% of symptoms with mold toxicity. Most conventional doctors only know about mold allergies and miss the mycotoxin-driven version that damages multiple organ systems. All right. Patricia asked a great question. She said, are there other diagnosis that mimic mold toxicity? In other words, can a person's symptoms actually be from mold toxicity when a practitioner decides it's something else? Spoiler alert. Yes. So very few doctors will ever consider mold toxicity because they know nothing about mold toxicity. They only understand mold allergies. And what most people are dealing with that are affected by mold is not an allergy, but it's the toxins, the mycotoxins, that are creating all the problems in their body. So if you're going to a medical doctor, they'll give you every other diagnosis. You'll have lupus, fibromyalgia, you'll have chronic fatigue syndrome. You'll have unbelievable amount of anything and everything. Because mold has so many symptoms, it attacks your liver, your kidneys, your neurological system, your endocrine system, your immune system. All these major systems of the body are affected. Okay, so, but a medical doctor is usually not going to diagnose you with Lyme disease either, because the standard testing is almost always comes out negative. And that's why we use functional labs for proper Lyme testing. So I'm not sure if you're specifically with a medical doctor, because you said a practitioner. So if you're working with a functional practitioner, they should be able to get to the bottom of it and figure it out. I mean, the symptoms are so similar that hopefully your practitioner has run functional labs for both mold and Lyme. If they have not, please contact me. Okay. Because it's quick and easy to check, then you can find out. And spoiler alert, a lot of times, once you have one, you're more susceptible to the other due to the immunosuppression. So, anyway, I hope that helps. Patricia, I'm sorry you're suffering with these symptoms, but, yes, that is very common for to have to be misdiagnosed.
