All mammals have biofilms. So, here's the thing you want to look at with biofilms. It's a lot like your normal gut bacteria, your normal flora, right? Only, it's normal biofilm. Everybody has a low-level biofilm that you're— after you're born, you develop that. That's no problem. It's like good flora. When we're sick a long time, we develop deeper and deeper levels of pathogenic biofilms. Same thing as if you're sick a long time, you might develop bad flora in your gut that just has to be changed. So yes, we all have biofilms, but there's the normal kind of physiologic part of me kind that don't hurt me. And then there's the kind that bugs take advantage of that become pathological.
