Hyperbaric oxygen therapy works on its own, but combining it with ketosis may boost results, especially for cancer. You don't need to be in ketosis for HBOT to help, but the two together could enhance treatment outcomes.

The hyperbaric benefit will go on no matter what's going on in your body system. So let's say you're not in ketosis, you're still going to get benefits from hyperbaric therapy. Now, if your doctor gives you something like exogenous ketones to jack up your ketone level, or they have you on a diet that induces ketosis or something, is that going to be synergistic with hyperbaric? Certainly. But if I'm not there and I don't have the ketones that day, should I just not do my hyperbaric? No, it's 2 different things. Synergy is good, but the absence of ketosis, the absence of exogenous ketones doesn't make the hyperbaric not work. They're just better together. So you can still get benefit from hyperbaric even if you are not, say, in ketosis or taking exogenous ketones. Now, there may be many reasons why you want to do that during cancer therapy. And so it's sort of a double benefit, but, but it doesn't take away anything for you not to be there.
