Judge a therapy's worth by how long your condition has lasted. Post-surgery fatigue should improve in weeks to months. A decade-long illness needs 9-12 months to show results. If nothing changes after an initial period, talk to your provider about increasing intensity.

How do you know if you're wasting money on therapies? Well, this can be a little tricky because it depends how sick you are. If you're acutely ill and you're trying to say, just heal up, you were super healthy and you had surgery, you're a little fatigued now, you should start to see some results with whatever therapy you're doing for your fatigue post-surgery within a few weeks, maybe a couple of months. If you've been sick for 10 years, you probably are gonna need to kind of stay the course for 9 to 12 months or more before you really can judge a therapy. If you've been sick for 30 years, you may have to stay the course for quite a while. The important thing is to communicate with your healthcare provider who's doing the therapies. And sometimes if you go back and you say, I'm, I'm okay with this, but it's 2 months in, I've felt nothing, that's a time where they probably need to jack up the intensity.
