Matt Kelly explains curcumin and boswellia, two herbs that work differently but together. Start with curcumin for immune support, then add boswellia if you have pain or brain inflammation. They work better combined, especially for post-COVID neurological issues.

Can you take curcumin and boswellia together? Are their mechanisms so similar? Might be too much. Yeah. You know, we, we use them together a lot. And if you think of curcumin's mechanism is in the hundreds of things it does, boswellia is probably somewhere between 50 and 100 things. So they have crossover, but they're not exactly the same. Times we use them together is if you're doing general immune modulation, but then you also have a lot of neurological inflammation or brain cancer or whatever's going on up there. Has more specific effect in the brain. And so especially in our post-COVID patients where there's a lot of immunoactivity in the nervous system, we usually give a curcumin-boswellia mixture. Generally, if you're just looking for immunomodulation and a person tolerates curcumin, we just start with curcumin. But if there's pain or neuroinflammation or other neurological things, it's really synergistic to have boswellia there too.
