Matt Kelly recommends three supplements for digestive health: probiotics to restore gut flora, turmeric or curcumin to reduce inflammation, and L-glutamine mixed into cold liquids to help heal the GI tract.

My top three supplements for GI health, digestive health. I think the first thing would be probiotics. Can work with a healthcare practitioner, read up on them. There's a lot of different types, but generally reestablishing good flora in your body would be number one. Number two, if you have any type of inflammation, adding ground turmeric. So we get curcumin from turmeric, but you can just grind it up, get the fresh root at your local store, grind it up, put it in your food. That actually has a topical effect of decreasing inflammation, and then. Number 3, if you want to take it to the next level, would be something like L-glutamine, the amino acid. And you can add that to liquid, you can add it to anything that you're not going to cook, and it has a very healing effect on the GI tract.
