Platinum chemotherapy drugs transform chemically during treatment, and the residual metal left in tissues won't cause cancer to return. Doctors actively detoxify patients afterward using methods like high-dose vitamin C and N-acetylcysteine to safely remove metals and other toxins.

Platinum chemotherapy is a good example of what a lot of people, even in my world, have said. Don't go in detox and take the platinum out because then you're, you know, that'll make your cancer come back. The science actually shows that has no relevance to reality. We actively detoxify people from platinum and other metals after chemotherapy because the platinum has different chemical states that it goes through as a therapeutic. And then by the time it lands in your tissues, whatever you don't urinate out, which is a fair amount, It's different. Well, the part that has the therapeutic benefit of the platinum is in the beginning of that, and it has nothing to do with the platinum. It landed in tissues. There are very safe, and then there's unsafe ways to detox platinum. But detoxing platinum becomes a very important thing, and we do that constantly. We often will do things with people such as pre-treating them with vitamin C and N-acetylcysteine, things like that. There's other things you can do, you know, on the prevention side, regardless of what kind of chemo or radiation or surgery or whatever they had, they'll often have enough metal and chemical and maybe even mold toxins that general depuration, which is just sort of helping the body get rid of junk, and then maybe specific detoxification is probably indicated in most all of those folks.
