Matt Kelly explains how CIRS from mold or chemicals triggers immune overreaction and brain inflammation that disrupts sleep. Histamine peaks around 2-3 AM causing middle-of-night awakenings, and the condition also affects hormones that control urination. There's no single fix, but improving air quality and reducing inflammation while the body heals helps.

I think I did a video on sleep. I should have checked before I hit record on here, but Katie's question was, what's the connection between Sears and insomnia? So just if people are asking what Sears is that shoemaker's name for mast cell activation, it's the same thing. You're really inflamed due to your immune system overreacting to the offender, which is often mycotoxins, but it can become perfumes and chemicals of any kind from plastic or whatever. Right. So when you have mold toxicity and your immune system's going wonky and you have mast cell, there's a few reasons you can't sleep at night. One is it's hard to get to sleep. You have people that aren't getting to sleep and, you know, you can try to, you know, use melatonin and different like Microbiome Labs has bacteria like a probiotic for helping try to get to sleep. You have the problem of waking up in the middle of the night inconsistently, and that happens a lot with people with mast cell or Sears because they're hit. Your histamine hits its peak kind of in the middle of the night, you know, 2, 3am and so you'll see people waking up around that time that'll keep waking you up. Frequent urination due to your hypothalamus and pituitary inflammation by mycotoxins in the brain, which affect your MSH and your ADH and creates frequent urination. So there's a lot of things working against you from getting a good sleep when you're so inflamed from Sears. And there's, there's, I don't know of, of any, you know, sure fire magic pill that's ever going to do it. It comes down to clean air detoxing anti inflammatories help to cool that fire, calm things down. And as your body's just healing from this, you know, mold illness, your ability to sleep will keep getting better as you're cooling the fire in your brain. I hope that helps.
