Matt Kelly explains that "toxic mold" is misleading. The real danger is mycotoxins, tiny chemicals produced by molds that can enter your body through skin, eyes, and lungs and cause neurological damage, kidney failure, cancer, and birth defects. Test for mycotoxins in urine, not just identify the mold species.

All right, guys, my very first question numero uno for this group is, what are toxic molds? Or which are the toxic molds that we need to be the most scared of? Now, remember, I've got three minutes to answer this question. That's the question. I'm going to answer it now. Okay? Now, the most ironic part of this question, or I should say answer, is that molds aren't extremely toxic. It goes against what we understand. It goes against what we hear in the news. What's always toxic mold. You know, we're thinking black mold, we're thinking stachybotrys ketomium. But the part that's actually toxic is, Are the mycotoxins, which is a secondary metabolite that comes off those mold spores, that comes off that colony. Those are tiny. Those are a fraction the size of the spore. And those can be absorbed through our skin. They go in our eyes, our ears. We breathe them in, obviously, and those are what? Extremely toxic. Okay? They're neurotoxic, they're dermatoxic, they're nephrotoxic. So kidney, hepatotoxic, liver, they're mutagenic. They can cause mutations in our genes. Are teratogenic. They can cause problems for baby in utero. They are estrogenic, like zearolanone from Fusarium. They are carcinogenic, okay, like the aflatoxin. That's where the biggest problem is. Now, mold can absolutely. Just check on my time. Oh, I'm doing so well. Molds obviously can be a problem. So you can have an allergy to mold. You can have runny nose, you can be sneezing, you can coughing. Be coughing. So you can have allergies to mold. You can have infection, a mold infection, like aspergillosis. You can have respiratory problems. You know, it can get lodged in the. In the lungs, and you can be coughing and hacking and breathing problems, and it can lead to bronchitis. And as you breathe in those spores, they colonize in the sinuses and then colonize in the gut, and you become a mold factory. So spores and mold on their own can cause a lot of problems. But the massive amount of toxicity comes from the mycotoxins. And that's what makes the collection, the massive collection of symptoms that we need, that we see that create havoc in our bodies. So toxic molds. The mold itself isn't as toxic. The mycotoxins can be extremely toxic. And that's kind of what we're thinking about when we say toxic mold. Now, does it matter a ton in treatment? No. But just as just for clarification sake, toxic mold isn't really exist. It's the mycotoxins themselves that are toxic. And that's why when we do labs, we're checking for mycotoxins through urine. We also have the option to of serum testing for antibodies through Dr. Campbell, but that's why we're looking for mycotoxins. We can actually come up with a protocol and see how toxic a body is from that before or without even doing organic acid test and checking for fungal colonization. But that those are details for another video. So I got my answer in within three minutes. Perfect. And that is about toxic mold.
