The excerpt is an English interview-style monologue by a single speaker (labeled SPEAKER A) explaining why they joined Sesame: describing Sesame as a marketplace for healthcare where doctors set their own prices, services, and hours and patients can choose providers based on availability, cost, credentials, etc. The speaker references prior marketplace experience (TripAdvisor) and being introduced to Sesame by someone named Ravi, and emphasizes the potential of applying marketplace lessons to healthcare.

You know, so what, what led you to joining the Sesame team? Sesame is, is, you know, I think like the CEO said this a couple times, like, I think it can be, has the potential to be the last great marketplace. What I mean by that is like, we're working on a marketplace for healthcare. There's a marketplace for lots of things now, right? There's a billion-dollar, multi-billion-dollar marketplace around taxi cabs, right? when you get right down to it, ridesharing. But a third of our GDP in America has no marketplace whatsoever. So healthcare, it was— I had no desire to work in healthcare whatsoever. It was sort of like banking and healthcare were the two things I really didn't want to work in because I didn't want to work in slow industries with lots of regulations. I wanted to have freedom to sort of create great customer experiences. And when I when I discovered Sesame, actually through Ravi, who you mentioned, it was sort of like this, like, aha moment where, wow, we can do a lot of the things we used to do at TripAdvisor to be customer-centric, to help our business owners who are doctors, help them have all the great incentives that marketplace creates around something that's so big and so as important as healthcare. And so at the end of the day, what Sesame is, is it's a marketplace for you to find your next great doctor. Doctors join willingly, they name their own prices, they list their own services, they name— they tell us what hours they want to work. And customers then get to discover those great doctors and choose the doctor that's right for them based on all the things that marketplaces offer, whether it's you care most about, I want to see somebody right now, or you care most about like who's the lowest cost, or I want to see a doctor that went to the best school and has been practicing for X number of years, or has this credential, like, you can choose, right? And so when I, when I discovered Sesame, I was like, wow, this is— this can take all the lessons I've learned and what I like about marketplaces and apply it to a different industry that I didn't expect it to. And that's been the most satisfying part about Sesame for me.
