Matt Bendett Sharing Parting Marketplace Advice

You know, I had one last question for you before we wrap things up, and that's if you could go right back to before you started PeerSpace, you know, what would you tell yourself about marketplaces?

I think I would've— this sounds negative, right? Because I was talking about how hard they are. But like, I, and I don't want that to be like, oh, I would think about whether or not this was worth doing because it totally was, right? But I just, I don't think I knew when I started a business that it was going to be this big of a thing that was gonna take, you know, my, you know, large part of my career to get to a certain point. I think it's just about like understanding and I guess I wish I would have talked to more marketplace founders to learn about what it's like to work on these kinds of businesses. And get maybe some more tips and tricks and see around blind spots easier than kind of what we did, where we really felt like we were going at it alone a lot of times. We also, we didn't join an accelerator or anything like that. I don't know. In the end, I'm kind of, I don't know, sometimes I think about it because I'm a Techstars mentor and I'm helping other founders and I like, I love to chat with founders today. It's like, I wonder if there were other people that could have just been in my corner earlier on to scale me alongside the business. So those are things that I'd probably think more about. Still deciding to do PeerSpace, of course, but just kind of making sure I was prepared for what was ahead.
