Meghan Carozza from Good Kitty Co explains how content moderation algorithms suppress posts about female anatomy like vagina and vulva, even in medical contexts, while male anatomy faces no such penalty. The bias hurts sexual wellness companies and health education.

I want to talk about censorship, specifically female anatomy. Vagina, vulva, cervix, all flagged. 87% of videos saying vagina were flagged, while only 2% saying penis were. This is ridiculous. Political violence boosted, erectile dysfunction boosted, guns, ooh, double boosted. But me talking about UTIs and my vagina, we get flagged. At Good Kitty Co, we are creating products for women's sexual wellness, our bodies. But we can't name these specific parts of our bodies without algorithmic punishment if educational content gets shadowbanned, medical terms are labeled explicit. This double standard has cost us health solutions, good education, because if we can't name it, we can't heal it.
