5 AI SaaS Ideas You Can Build This Week!

Michael Elliot walks through five SaaS ideas you can build quickly: a CRM for solopreneurs, Slack AI agents, invoice chasing tools, niche project management templates, and micro products with passive revenue. Each one is designed to start small and generate income fast.
As an entrepreneur, launching the next Facebook is probably not going to be the best place for you to start. Well, today I'm going to run you through five SaaS, businesses you could build this week that could all make 5k a month quite easy. I'm not going to waste any time. We're going to jump straight in. By jumping straight in, we're going to start with number one. And number one is a CRM for solo. Now solopreneurs are individuals where there is a catalyst of products out there for businesses. Salesforce, HubSpot, whatever it is that you, that you think of. But there is nothing really to support a solopreneur in his journey or her journey. And if you think about it effectively, this individual just lives normally out of a Google spreadsheet, Google sheet or Excel. And that is literally what they use to track everything from the person they've spoken to to inquiries. That is, that is literally all they have. Well, the thing about that is, is that this solopreneur is not going to be the small solopreneur that they are now forever. And I don't see anything in the market at the moment, notions great. But I don't see anything in the market at the moment that can't be improved into, into this, this, this, at this sort of arena. If you think about it, if you were to build a, you know, like when it comes down to the big problem is pricing. So HubSpot, you have HubSpot, you have Salesforce, you have Zoho, you know you have Zoho. All of these tools, they're too expensive really for the, for the Solopreneur or they are simply just too much and over complicated like as in what, what it actually does. The tools, they're too powerful if you like, for the solopreneur. So what about a tiny one page CRM system? Okay, you have a tiny one page CRM system that's built that handles and controls everything from their calendar. So you've got Calendar, you've got CRM as an overview because CRM has multiple features, CRM contact deals, things that they can use inside of it, but all, all, all in their pocket. You've then got invoicing, which is actually one of my ideas. You have invoicing but you could add little features to this solopreneur's tool to make your LTV higher. Such as, such as invoicing actually such as this. But you could also have a lead nurturing section and you can build this yourself or giving it away to you, you could use something like go high level. And if you used go eye level to build up this on top of. I'm not saying that this is the way, I'm just saying it's a, it's a choice. If you built it in go eye level, you would also make percentage markups on SMS spend. If you were doing SMS marketing for them. That's it. Email, you know, email, sms, anything that is to do with lead nurturing you could do. And I feel like there's a gap in the market because, and it's brilliant because it's simpler, faster, easier, more convenient, suits their price budget. And it's a classic case of simplicity providing immediate value to an individual at the time that they need it. And those are, you know, those are the best, best performing businesses coming in at number two. Slack agent. Now this is not a brand new idea, but where do you work from? What do you use? Asana, Monday, Tuesday, ClickUp, whatever. Well, Slack is my biggest and most used tool by far outside of Nan and make dot com. That is the tool where I spend all of my time. It's in my pocket, it's everywhere I go and a lot of businesses are like that. Well, where you would be looking at here and the beautiful thing about this and the same for solopreneurs. This is why these two are such good ideas. Yes, the people are creating these agents now. Yes, AI agents are. Everyone's talking about. We're not talking here about creating the new Facebook, remember, We're talking about something that can make you 5k a month and a Slack agent. The thing is, is that what does every tool struggle with? If you were to launch a new SaaS or a new tool or whatever now what do you struggle with? Well, it's user base. Who uses, who uses it? Well, if you build yourself a custom AI assistant for businesses, maybe you could niche down accountants, whatever, whatever you do, let's give them a smiley face, whatever it is that you do. You could have a task management bot that literally lives in the company's house, right. And every staff member. You'd be targeting smaller companies with this who aren't adopting AI as fast as everybody else. You'd be targeting smaller companies with this by design is exactly what you want. And what happens is they live in Slack and there's, you know, this chat, there's that chat, there's. They've got this channel, that channel this channel. Notifications going wild, right, notifications going off left, right and center. And if you offered a solution that allowed them inside of this to use Slack, a Slack API. Create a bot that when someone uses the Slack commands like forward slash, task, create, presentation, it fires off to that company's Panda Doc and a full presentation is made that is fully customizable by the way. Like you can customize that. If somebody says forward slash ClickUp tasks, boom. Gives them a list of ClickUp tasks for the day. If they are working on joint projects and they have some sort of structure, it could be a million and one individual tools. You know, anything from drafting client proposals, you know, asking what deadlines deadlines like forward slash, deadline and then that could be go and fetch all of my deadlines that I have in the, in the upcoming, in the upcoming weeks. You could send calendar invites. You, you build a little pocket rocket, right, for small businesses that have like 10 members of staff, 15 members of staff, and this will look like magic to them. And you're not too late to the party in my opinion, to build a really high quality Slack agent that is trained. It's brilliant because it's not a software idea, it's a distribution hack. Slack has a gazillion people that use it every single day. And you're just building a tool which they actually have designed inside already and deploying it so that you can, you can resell it and you can resell it for an extremely cheap amount. Like you. That's. And that's where you would be a success. A whole business revolutionizing its internal team structure. Let's say they didn't have any use of AI and you brought a fully functioning AI system in that plugged into an X amount of tools and could do X and Y and Z, then you would change and save hours of their week, literally hours. You know, you could make it scan their knowledge base. If the user has questions, it could literally just ask a question and you could incorporate AI into it. You'd have to factor the cost of that in. But to give an answer based off of the knowledge base or previous conversations that things have had, there is no limit to this. You'd want to keep it pretty small. You won't want to overcomplicate it because otherwise you may as well go and build yourself a fully fledged SaaS like a proper one. But when it comes down to a micro SaaS business like what we're talking about, this is still a perfectly good and strong idea. And I, I think that this is slept on a lot. Everyone's jumping, trying to find the big fish. This is something that you could build and deploy and take yourself out of your job or take yourself out of adversity. Literally this week. Number three, an invoice chasing tool. Now, as an entrepreneur, a freelancer, an incredibly micro business, chasing paid invoices is literally the bane of your existence, right? When it comes down to invoices. Let's talk about it for a moment. Most, the most frustrating part is chasing of invoices, trying to get paid. That is by far and away the number one thing. You do the work, you send the invoice, then they don't pay. When they say they're going to pay, they send you an email. They're out of office for a week on holiday. You go through that, that rigmarole of having to do it and you have to manually remember, before you know it, invoices are overdue. And at that stage, you're sort of chasing your tail, okay? So you end up in an awkward situation in a conversation where you're like, you've got to pay me, you need to pay me. Well, people don't like that. And the solution is an incredibly simple service, right? You connect any accounting software. Stripe, you connect, stripe, you connect, I don't know, zero, whatever. You use any tool that you use and you build out a flow that is extremely simple by nature. You could, again, you could go in industry specific. I actually had a conversation with a friend of mine who owns a decently sized plumbing firm the other day. My God. He won't take AI into his business. Don't ask me why. I don't talk to him about it anymore because it makes me angry. But he's got a decent sized plumbing business. Small, but it's a good firm and it's nice to have in case you have a plumbing issue. But he has a massive issue when it comes to invoicing. And him being a client of yours is a somebody. Somebody who definitely should be, but it's somebody who would argue against it. Some people just won't buy into AI yet. They will, they will learn. Don't you worry about that. I told him his business won't be here in four years if he doesn't. But the point I'm making is you can go into plumbers or you could go into any good trade. Trades are good. Electricians, these are good. But you could generalize this, this, this, this too. And what you would do is you would just build a micro SaaS, 15 pound a month, 25 pound a month, whatever you want to charge cheaper. And all you do is you take all of these options and you have a simple step in between during the onboarding stage which asks a specific amount of questions and those questions are straight to the point. How long do you allow payment? Like do you have a 30 day payment window? Okay. So they say no, we have a 14 day payment window. Okay. How many times would you like them to be contacted during that 14 day period to let them know that it's going to be due? Three times. Okay. If the invoice becomes overdue, we will send them an alert. So we send them and we send them an alert. Overdue. If four days overdue, send this. If five days overdue, send this. Five might be a bit short. Seven days. Whatever you, whatever you say. And you continue down this perpetual road running until. And this comes all the way back to this question you ask them. Worst case scenario, if an invoice goes unpaid, when do you want the alert to fire about something more severe? I don't know. Whatever. They would do small claims court, debt collection if they wanted to go that route. Route. That's why the questionnaire could be a simple type form. That's why the questionnaire comes in and you have all of that information about their business and you use AI to automatically deploy all of that for said company and you simply just change the variables. Company name, value. Crazy. That is a tool that I could build in about two hours that you think go up and down the country. Just think of trades for a moment that, that you could go up and down the. The the country and find and fix their issues and charge so little to make 5k a month it's frightening. I might do it tomorrow. I'm not joking. My YouTube video on it and build it because it's such a. And the reason why it's beautiful is because getting paid is the biggest. Is the thing that everybody cares about. Getting paid is what every single person cares about. You have to get paid for your services, right? Everybody does. You, you want to be paid for your time. Not you shouldn't work paid for time but you want to be paid for your. Your investment in time into something. And that's the critical pain point of businesses. And by, by helping solve that. There's a, there's an in the, the second is that it uses a channel that cuts through the noise. People ignore emails, right? But they almost always read SMS messages. And because you can plug in all avenues of this from SMS, email and then even voice, you could use 11 labs to clone somebody's voice. You could get them here, right? I don't know. Depending on it. I'm going wild. But I'm just explaining, think about that. Wow. Yeah. We're not reinventing the wheel. No, we're not going for, for something that's brand new. We're sticking with a problem that's existed since the dawn of time. That is a big thing. And this is a high impact system that would have low overhead for the business. Those are the best. Because when you are in a position where the overhead is low, retention is high and you could build up very quickly a pot of people that just rely on your system to be able to do that. Number four, niche project management. Okay, niche project management tools are incredibly valuable now. Normal project management tools, notion Asana, right? These are all great, but a business that has to look at these individual tools, probably take their templates and amend them to their own individual needs and use cases. So there's things in Notion that aren't in Asana, there's things that are in ClickUp that aren't in Notion. There's things in HubSpot. I don't know. You could keep going forever. Right? But what about if we created a service that like, what if we created a service that provides pre built, fully functioning hyper specific project management templates for specific industries? It's not just a to do doing done board. This is like a complete like for podcasters, it'd be like a complete podcast production flow with databases for guests, sponsors, episode status, profit, social media checklists on or a seven day website launch template for Asana for web designers to get them to go through each individual stage that ties in exactly with what they have to offer. That's incredibly important. And I think that this is an area where you could definitely tap into because what you are doing effectively is you are packaging up something that has already existed but in a niche specific manner as a product on its own, in isolation, where you give a big green tick to said company and probably the niche of the company the better. Like podcasters would be a good one if you built one for podcasters that was around that maybe like, I don't know, does Pod Match have API? I don't know. Like you can have all of these things that potentially built in, but sticking on the project management board like and keeping it simple, strict project managements that, that do this, you're not trying to reinvent the wheel. People know project management systems, they know they exist, they know they need to use them. You niche down into one, you find where the, where the pain is, where it hurts and then you effectively just remove the manual element of this and build out a Few pre made templates but that are extremely detailed and go into, into huge detail for that individual industry. So they know straight away what that, what you're dealing with. This can it, this can include lots of other stuff as well. You can bolt on lots of different things. But project management is going nowhere. Niche project management tools are what the thing about a niche project management tool is that you are, you're definitely not reinventing the wheel, but you are using something which everybody needs to use and that again is beautiful. The demand is there. So that is a, another good one. And if you can pick a good niche, you could nail that one. That one could be, that one could be a 20k a month. That's, that's something that you could get right extremely, extremely easily if you just understood especially if you have a feel a lot of people look around and they think, well, what am I good at? Well it doesn't matter what you're good at. If niche project management using AI tools like Bolt to connect Stripe and build sites out, lovable, whatever you need to use to build these systems out. Okay, I'm not saying just use those. You could, you could code one yourself or you know, I don't know, Klein, whatever, but you, you can do this. The point I'm making is that very quickly you could turn something that is, oh my gosh, I'm so niche with my experience. How am I ever going to make money online to being like, oh my God, I can make so much money online because my industry is so niche that nobody else would know how to create a niche management, a niche project management tool for it and you could flip it on its head, whatever your experience or you could just do research and pain point into businesses. But this number four, it's great but I'm excited for five. Number five micro SaaS. Now micro SaaS is brilliant because I don't know which video is going to come out first, but let me just find this for you and let me bring this over here. I built this today. And this is a Micro Sass that you can go premium on. And this is an age calculator that you put your date of birth in. This is just demo purposes. This is not production. But I was born at 30 minutes, 35 minutes past 1 in the morning on 13.5.92 calculate gives you real time in the widgets. You'd fix the widgets on this, but it counts in real time in seconds. People love to check their current age. It's a weird thing, look at volume of people looking to get their current age live. Now look at that, that volume. So you create the micro Sas. I added a few tabs to this. The meant that you could use it. This is Bolt. Obviously you can see at top, but I was sitting in Bolt. But you'll see that there's space for Google AdSense and I added them in the video and it might. So it might have come out, you might have seen it if you're a follower of mine. But you have an option famous. Well your famous birthdays option again AdSense. So you're making revenue by visitors for free off of this site. It's very difficult to create a micro Sass like this with the idea. But volume is key to making money through Google AdSense. But it's passive. So something like this where people just check their age calculator. You could go, I could have added loads of stuff to this for effectively for free using Bolt. Like I don't know how much it would have cost to build and deploy but you know I'd have to buy a domain because it's hosted on this. But you know, whatever. You could add a multitude of different things, find celebrities with the same birthday, how many days in time or whatever until I'm 50. You could integrate AI in here and you could change the tiers of premium. I had two tiers. I had free and I had a five a five pound premium ad free experience. They pay five pound, they get an ad free experience. You hit the link takes you to a stripe checkout page like you could build a micro SaaS business. This took me about an hour and a half whilst presenting like as in not, not the video is not an hour and a half but with interruptions waiting for Bolt and there to do a couple of things with the payment getting linking Stripe Stripe and Supabase. I'm not going off topic but what I'm trying to say to you here is if you can create a micro SaaS like this that is free but can get high volume like age calculators can use organic use organic content methods, use Facebook communities, school communities, use TikTok, you know, use Nano Banana to create your imagery to promote this and try and drive organic traffic through the site. I know people including one in the age calculator space. That makes 2 1/2,000 USD through AdSense. 2 1/2,000 USD for people looking how old they are to the second like what? Who wants to know? Like every time I get a day old I don't want to hear about it. But some people, they want that's their thing. You could think about that. Ask Chat GPT AI to bounce ideas around of micro SaaS with high volume that you can give them something for free using that you can build in bolt in under a day. You could write a veteran prompt out for it for its brain and then you could dig deep or use your experience and then you have a site built that uses Google AdSense, uses Google AdSense on it to generate revenue passively. Does it matter if you make $400, $200, $5,000? Somebody watching this video is going to have nailed this before I know it. And this is something which is so key because you could think of loads of ideas if you spent a day. Well, if you spent an hour using AI, you'd find loads of ideas. But then researching the ideas and stuff, just go in the quiet room for an hour, have some silence, think about things that people want to check or about themselves or etc and you will be in a position where you can come up with an idea to make money off of Google AdSense without having to charge everyone a penny. Anyone a penny. And then the key is to have premium features. Ad free would be the first one which is exactly what my example was. But you can also bolt on additional things depending on what your tools are. Like I said, like I said to you, like you, you could have like match me with celebrities, update daily updates of celebrity birthdays. There's things that you could just set there pound you buy it for a pound. You don't have to charge a lot of money because you're not looking for volume, you're looking to get to that, that number. And if you then redeploy that sas, that SAS product, you redeploy it and your I've lost my obs. You, you redeploy that across multiple SaaS businesses. The your overheads are like 50 bucks a year, but it generates you 300, 400, 500, $5,000 a month wherever you end up. And you like Russian dolls, pop them out. Then you can very quickly get to 5k a month using micro SaaS, businesses that you don't even have to have any paid features on. It's all about traffic, it's all about perspective. Those are five ideas, there's a thousand more. My name is Michael Elliot. If you enjoyed this video, like subscribe, comment. I'll catch you in the next one.
