This is a YouTube video titled "Business Has No Endgame, Enjoy the Grind" created in September 2025. It features a monologue by Karen Hao discussing the metaphor of life and business as a video game, emphasizing the importance of enjoying the ongoing process and grind rather than focusing solely on end goals or achievements. The content is motivational and reflective on success and self-improvement.
Life's like a video game. Everybody has these goals and dreams. You might dream of having a million dollars in the bank, or you might dream about having this SaaS business that does X and Y. But really, upon reflection in life, what really matters is beating the game. Like, it's a bit like Grand Theft Auto. You think about Grand Theft Auto, you do these missions you go through, you keep playing, you enjoy it, you get towards the end of the game, then you complete it. And once you complete it, you sit back and you think like, like what do I do now? Well then it's like, okay, well I've hit my financial goal, I'll buy the nice car, I'll go traveling, I'll do this and do that. But you could do that as many times as you want and you'll never feel complete. You'll never feel whole. And the key to that is because the true success relies in beating the game. And to beat the game is all of the work that goes into getting to that point and beyond. Okay, there is no end game to business and strategy and success and self improvement. There is no end game. It's a perpetual cycle. And you'll learn to love the, the grind to get there. And if not, if you don't love the grind to get there, you'll never be successful in the first place. But if you, when you do make it, which I'm sure that you will, when you get there, on reflection, it will be beating the game that give you the most success, nothing else.
