Forget GPT 5 - How To Master Gemini's Google AI Studio End To End (Full Walkthrough)

Michael Elliott walks through Google AI Studio powered by Gemini, covering chat, image and video generation, live screen sharing, and building apps like client onboarding forms. He demonstrates practical workflows with an AI assistant named Zephyr and shows how to use dynamic chat functionality for real projects.
What'S going on guys michael elliot here today i'm extremely excited because i'm going to be running you through ai studio end to end whether you're a beginner or you're a seasoned llm user i'm going to teach you how to be able to use this free tool that is powered by gemini to do everything from creating terms of conditions contracts for it to be able to help you via screen share and voice to be able to discuss and debug issues how to be able to effectively create images and videos from it along with some tips and guidance on how to use this chat prompt engineering tool which is the most boring feature and section of this video but it is important because that's obviously what you use llms for a lot of the time firstly i'm going to showcase to you the first four to get here aistudio dot google dot com that's the only place you need to be once you are here this is what you will see on the on the page now it can be a little bit overwhelming but i'm first going to run you through the four key and core elements that ai studio has it has the chat feature which which is has the ability to be able to just conversationally have discussions you can do everything you can do with other llms inside of it you know you can set a system prompt we'll get into all of this don't concern yourself you've got temperature etcetera that you can use you have stream which is extremely powerful one of the most powerful things about about ai studio is the stream it can live screen share with you even your webcam in order to assist you with problems live and debug we have the generate media which allows us to be able to create videos and assets that are basically industry standard for quality especially when you think about vo three on the on the on the horizon slash you know launch like the vo three is amazing because it has audio too but the images and the videos that you can create inside of this generate media are fantastic and the build option is extremely powerful for apps you can build anything forms it can build like i said the terms of service contracts etc we're going to run through every single one of those now but i wanted to start with the most basic feature which is the chat which is the one that you which you're going to see the most and i will try and run through this quickly but but you can type but i want to make sure that for beginners they understand it you can have conversations with an ai agent that will go out there and it will explore the the internet all the tools that we provide it with to go and find specific information around our question we're going to use basic questions today okay so we're going to use what you know how to cook a fried egg we ask you how to cook a fried egg it's now thinking it goes away it's looking at it from a from a perspective of the the sort of time frame one of the main things i love is you draw if you put the little drop down there why it's thinking you can see what it's actually doing in real time so you can you can understand the thought process and have half the answer before the answer's even generated which is which is really nice i love that feature about it i'm going to close it and just not to clog this up you see it gives you a step by step method of the basics of what you need to cook an egg it's a little bit lengthy for frying an egg i'm sure you'll be aware of that you know you've probably fried an egg before and if you've fried an egg before you probably don't need five paragraphs to tell us what to do now that's where this beautiful thing on the side comes in it's called temperature the way that you should look at temperature is creativity that's the way that i explain it simplest way the lower the temperature the lower the creativity ninety nine point nine percent of times when i'm using ai i will have the temperature set at zero always because it gives you the most factually correct answer that you can get from data because there's no creativity involved the ai doesn't decide to chuck a little curveball in there and it'll be like a boxing match and you're trying to find out well what is actually you know is that actually required is it specific it rules all that out by setting the temperature at zero and if you can't figure it out with the temperature at zero it's the prompting and things that you're doing now you'll see here that it's probably not a good example because it's done a very similar length a very similar length discussion so i'm going to change my i'm going to change my let me delete this and this and this and i'm going to change this to write me a story so please write me a four sentence story about world war two so we hit run with zero temperature and we'll see this now the output of this story will be something which is extremely which is extremely basic okay like it will be it'll stick to its instructions it'll it doesn't need too much more the soldier clutched a warm photograph in the trench it's edges softened by a thousand hopeful glances he whispered a promise now let's run that exact same thing with a two temperature and rerun it and see what happens now what you're going to see when you run it with this this temperature is that it goes wild right there's no vocabulary that is ruled out from a perspective of usage there is absolutely nothing off the table in terms of the way that it builds but it has massive creativity so it will go out there the whale of the siren sent us scrambling into the damp dark air raid shelter once again huddled together we listened as the muffled thunder of bombs shook the earth very beneath the very earth beneath our feet a sudden violent tremor nearby showered us with dust and dreadful silence fell you see you can see the difference between the two the two stories now the reason why the fried egg analogy wasn't a good analogy and i'm glad that i reran that for the story is to showcase to you that there are use cases where creativity is important and temperature should be used like temperature is not something that that shouldn't be that shouldn't be used it's just that when you're doing research analysis data system prompting you want it to give you the most statistical fact of what it can physically possibly give you and that's exactly what it what it does the old woman clutched a warm photograph you can tell the difference between the two stories i'm not going to wax lyrical about that but that's the way that you should understand it now when you look at a few of these other individual options that we've got we've got a set of thinking budget if you set a thinking budget you can set the amount of individual tokens you don't need to worry about that you have structured output if you want the output to be structured in a specific way maybe it's code or whatever whatever structure that is that you want if there's something structural you can change it and you can use that feature code execution let's gemini use code to solve complex tasks this is extremely beneficial if you're using it inside of things like nan where you're using the code node and you get stuck you can use it to help with the code execution function calling lets you define functions that gemini can call not really not really something that we should concern ourselves about too much at this level of video grounding with google search is important because that means that it will only use google search well it will ground itself with google search so it will ensure that the information that it extracts actually exists in google search instead instead of just infinite right which you can see the value in that you know that's why everyone uses google search as a search engine you can see the value in that and it makes sense from google's point of view given the fact that this is google ai studio to allow it to tap into to all of its data and then the final one here as you come down you can see that you have url context and url from a url context point of view you that allows you to be able to paste in url's so it can actually it can actually read it can actually read the url and take information from it don't talk to me about sheffield wednesday at the moment if any of you are football slash soccer fans but by turning on the url context it can give us context about the individual the individual url not that you can't get information about it without it but the url context is is is very is very strong now while while this does its little thing whatever this is going to spit out i'm going to stick with the task at hand of explaining to you you see this is so you go through it's read the read the url sources now top p is something you should know you should know but isn't critical to the majority of it because if your temperature is zero it makes no difference anyway but temperature and top p actually work together and this top p is the probability threshold for sampling of words used in the temperature so if you have this at like zero point one it will only expand to the words inside of the temperature that the ai is like generating it will only pick like the bottom ten percent so the expansion isn't as large as like what it would be if it was if it was crazy if you leave it crazy high and set it at one everything is possible you set that temperature at two and set that at one everything's on the table things can just go nuts frankly frankly and generally speaking worry about temperature temperature is what's important if you're finding you're getting stuck on an answer creep the temperature up slightly see if it can give you some but generally speaking use the use the use the zero temperature function now let's get stuck into streaming because streaming is my one of my favorite things inside of gemini it's extremely powerful okay you have individual individual settings available to you here i don't really need to cover them because i'm just going to cover i'm just going to use like it's obvious what these are like in terms of what they what you use and you don't need them for what you need need this for so all i'm going to do in here is i'm going to hit the stream section and i'm going to hit share screen and i'm going to share the screen that i've got here hey are you ready to help me with some automation issues that i'm facing yeah.
I'M ready to help just tell me.
What you need assistance with amazing well it's going to be at nan let me go and load that up right.
Now all right i'm waiting for the.
Video so as you can see i'm inside of nan and i'm a little bit unsure of how to add a trigger node can you tell me how to add a trigger node sure to.
Add a trigger node click on the plus sign that says add first step it's in the center of the screen.
Amazing there's a lot of options on the right what would an on form submission be a good use case for.
An on form submission trigger is perfect for starting a workflow when someone submits a form like for collecting data from.
Leads or feedback okay that's amazing that sounds like exactly what i want well next then so i've got the form submission and all i want to do is i just want to input that information into a new row in google sheets can you tell me how i would you know how i would go about that from from here.
Sure first.
I think i think i lost you there what i'm looking to do is add a add a new new node inside of nan and and and i want it to be google okay i.
Understand to add a google sheets node click on the plus sign next to the form submission trigger it'll open a panel with options search for google sheets and select it then you can configure it to add a new row okay.
So that's great but on the list of options there are quite a few options in terms of the options available to us inside of the node what would be the best option for me if i'm looking to input new data into an already existing sheet.
The best option would be append row in sheet this action will add a new row with the data from the form submission to your existing google sheet that's amazing.
But inside of the form can you tell me why i'm getting this red.
Error that red error likely means that there is a required field in the form configuration that hasn't been filled out yet please check the form elements and make sure all required fields are completed.
Amazing okay thank you very much you're.
Welcome is there anything else i can.
Help you with today no that's great thanks so you can see how powerful that is it it did trip over itself which i've not actually had it do in a long time it tripped over itself it like it started speaking but i don't know if that was maybe a connection issue or something i'll check on the video after but anyway i re prompted it it came through with the the correct answer and the reason why i took you through those two steps is because actually it was really important that she selected the append a row option out of a list of options inside of nan because the other actions like get like add a row or get a row whatever they were like wherever they were inside of nan whatever yeah i'm not going to let me have a look it was really important that it wasn't like update a row that she that was it update a row inside inside this inside the sheet because what we actually asked for was to add new data to a sheet so anything else would have been incorrect she was bang on the money with what she just said to there so well done zephyr and that that's the voice and yeah so that's it now let's get into some really really cool and generative information and opportunities for ourselves okay so imogen is the best image generation model engineered for creativity according to google themselves we want four outputs let's put the resolution as two k let's push it let's push it let's have it just use image and four please create me an image of simba and nala playing around a christmas tree playing around let me just put from lion king from lion king playing around a christmas tree with toy trains and a ball the image should be cozy wintry and have both a fire and lamp in the background so we've given it some pretty strict instruction there okay so let's see what it comes up with how long this is going to take i'm not one hundred percent sure but this is showing you the power of really like what images can be created i'll probably copy this now look at the quality of those images that is absolutely ridiculous okay that is like that is just a joke like me and my daughters love lion king it's like if i get to watch a film it's either big hero six or it's lion king right with my with my girls obviously and it's something that when you see the power of something like that like to be able to create that off of that sentence on just on its own i feel like i know the powers of ai go way beyond this i've got videos creating presentation decks from two sentences i understand this is not new images have been able to be created but what i'm telling you here is that like inside of ai studio you can literally create whatever you want so let's do one more before we head on to video i'm going to copy that please create me a photo realistic photo realistic just checking some of these photo realistic image of a skyscraper with three businessmen business businessman and two business women walking down a large set of steps let's say let's say down down a small set of steps with the skyscraper and doors to the office in the background it include a yellow i feel like harvey feel like i'm writing harvey spector's story from from suits here a yellow cab please please include a yellow cab let's run and let's see what we can generate so now we've gone from creating like generic images around cartoon characters at christmas playing which is scary how close christmas actually going to be like soon being september but yeah like this is going to be this is going to be different this is going to be test the skills we'll see it's creating this create photorealistic images see what we can create now i'm not being funny but you can't get much better than stock images from those and there's a reason why i use imaging when i use gamma because all bar one had the yellow cabinet the bottom right one is broken don't know how he's got up them steps maybe it's a driveway but the top two are pretty much exactly what i was looking for feels like you're in new york just looking at it okay so now we're going to switch from generate media leave we're going to leave that and we're going to go to vo and inside of here we're going to create some videos so now i'm going to ask for a video let's hope that this is not over the over the limit because they do have limits yeah they can have let's just try it a few times see if it runs okay let's shrink this let's try seven seconds there you go work seven seconds so now i've just i've used the same one around simba and nala because it will be fun i'll then maybe use a photorealistic one to showcase its power but this is now running to create a video and you'll see from the option that the only option is vo two once this creates this video i'm going to regenerate one and i'm going to ask it to produce a large number of results whilst i cover a few things with you about about generating media using google ai studio to be fair i can probably start now because when it comes down to looking at the ai studio's power from an imaging perspective and what you are capable of producing from an ai point of view being able to use that inside of workflows like nan for example to deliver creatives for clients that want facebook ad client like facebook ads or they want you know headers for whatever it might be you can use imagen to create really really detailed especially with system prompts like not inside of ai studio for the system prompts that's for the chat but from a perspective of using it inside of nan or something like that to be able to get exactly the sort of image you need you've got to check out my presentation video after this because you'll be able to see exactly what i mean by using imaging but you'll see that that's crazy so i'll show you this video now this is the video that was created there's a ball there's a train running around it's christmas it's incredibly christmassy there's no audio on vo two vo three does have does have audio alongside it but i think we've proved the concept around the around the video of what can actually happen simba and nala look a little bit too alike in that picture for me from memory that does it looks like there's maybe two simbas or one and a half simbas or maybe i've just got it wrong and it is nala but the point i'm making is it's all about the video the power of the video you know let's remove lamp in the background in fact you know what we're going to move on because this is i've shown you the power of this now right i've shown you the power of the the creativity let me run one more i've got it let me run one more i'll be back with you when it's done so very sadly i hit my quota for the day unless i'm using the api which obviously we're not which is which is a shame but what you can see is because we were going to see buzz lightyear and woody having a snowball fight outside buckingham palace we'll have to save that for another video maybe it's something that you can come and do but you can see from the bottom an example of a video like what i created like a playful one you can see an example of an animated image that could be used for like a facebook ad video and then one of a real life sort of cooking of what is that peppers yeah some sprinkling salt and pan stir fry like you you can see the power of how that how that can work there is a limit on it like i've just hit there from messing around with it before this video i've i've hit it let's jump now straight into the build section you saw the power of the the video creation anyway so it doesn't make any difference now this is incredible and what we're going to do is i'm going to ask i'm going to use the chat function okay your engineer software software engineer designed to produce a prompt for a client onboarding form inside of google ai studio's build options please provide me with a colorful client onboarding form data system prompt that i can put into into ai studio hit run so now this is going to go i'm going to stop that because i did have creativity on stop this don't do me dirty let's delete that and now let's let's rerun this again on zero temperature so we're going to see this now produces a prompt which is going to allow us to be able to go through the go through the build phase of actually engineering a client onboarding form inside of google ai studio which is which is quite simple for for the process let's just let it wrap up for copy as text it's going to i can copy as text and do that are we done yeah i think i think we're done did i get it all i think we're done head to build paste in here let's get rid of this and let's hit it and now let's see what happens this is going to take a little while so i'll be back with you once this is complete so here we are we've asked it to create a full onboarding questionnaire so it's asking me for my full name in your your role my name is michael elliot and my role is being a legend what is the name of your company or organization ai train what's the best email address to reach you at so it's dynamically taking me through admin train better uk it's manually taking me through the individual steps every project has a north star guide in one or two sentence what is the core mission of this project we're going to get into deep waters here where they would need to be need to be editing so actually i'm not going to answer that question but but i'm going to change the system prompt i'm going to say this should not be a live chat solely it should have a form for the left hand side for basic details once we have the basic details the agent should follow up and try to conversationally book a call between nine pm at nine am and five pm est let's say that so now it's going to go away thinking again but by what you've just seen you've seen like a full onboarding platform now the thing is is that you can go and host this on a url you can embed it you can use these tools i gave it what was i don't know what it was but a few sentences written off my brain to produce this if you look at actually how how you can manipulate this and hopefully this form is going to be a showcase an example of that like you would be able to implement these in terms of contracts or anything maybe i'll even run through with you let's see what it's doing pivot it's pivot it's now pivoting from a linear chat questionnaire to a dynamic two part interface on the left a sleek form to capture essential details once that's complete the magic begins the chat on the right will spring to life where where i spark will personally greet your client conversationally schedule a discovery call this new approach is more efficient for the client so you think about this as like a form you could have a form on the site once they've done it goes through next steps maybe ask some few questions about the business this is this is just like a like a playground like at the moment what i'm trying to showcase to you is its power to be able to produce an app off of a few sentences like but you can actually take this app and make them live so if you spent time prompt engineering this properly and built this out you would it would be crazy we've now got something a little bit different so full name and role michael elliot michael elliot director company name ai train your email adminitrain dot co dot uk welcome michael thank you for providing your details then it would go into this so now it's trying to propose conversationally you know the the times so the none of those days work for me how about monday there you go it's having conversational conversations based off of an onboarding form now let's make it do one final thing let's now split this into two separate web pages where there's a full landing page that includes the form the landing page should be around ai automation solutions to help smbs save time and once the form is submitted the user is redirected to the chat above the chat we have a brief intro explaining that the agent is going to book book a demo call let's say let's see what this brings out and this is how you roll with google ai studio the things it can do i've just i'm showing you basic standard level examples like if you actually actually look at what can be implemented from a ppc perspective from a digital marketing perspective from from an accountant's perspective from a saas business's perspective from any perspective physically possible this is ridiculous because you can just literally build whole apps inside of here and from there you literally you literally just upload get the host and everything sorted out and you're and you're cooking whereas before this would need cleaning up obviously it's not the best welcome page looks too ai with a little celebration emoji but i hope i'm showing you the power clearly here of what you can actually do this doesn't take a genius i'm not doing anything but type a few words into the into the document now let's see if it can split it if it can split it i'll fill it in one more time from there we'll we'll look at a few a few final bits and pieces of ai studio but it's like a swiss army knife of capability when it comes down to the the you know the the options that you have available so if you want industry standard video you can create them using api you can create as many as you want inside the interface you can only create so many so we now have a landing page automate your your business save time spark is an ai automation solution designed for small businesses michael elliott director admin at aitrain dot co dot uk dot admin aitrain dot co dot uk dot just realize what i've done aitrain dot co dot uk start our adventure hi i'm michael i'm here to help you find the perfect time for a demo call with our team so we have covered the basics of ai studio inside of here ai studio does have other functions available to has the ability to be able to speech is another option that you've got but the images the video the building of apps which is the main when it comes to design like if you want to build a flow a full app or like a full on boarding for like for a client you can do it inside of here with some proper prompting take some time not long but it'll take some time you want the right questions you want the right structure color schemes color palette all of this but my job here today was to take you from beginner or not understanding how to use the llm to showcasing that to you we didn't quite get to see buzz lightyear and woody have a snowball fight outside buckingham palace but i think that that's okay i didn't want to build the api for it and go away and do it i wanted to keep this concise i hope you've enjoyed this video let me know in the comments what your favorite element of ai studio is vo three being on the horizon is something which is going to be exceptional it has voiceovers go and check that out one hundred because we can see what we produce and i how high quality that was well vo three is going to be is going to be the next step there's a lot of moving parts in the industry when it comes to video creation my name is michael elliott i hope this video has helped you out please like subscribe drop me a comment let me know your thoughts let me know how you would use ai studio in your business and i'll catch you on the next one see you later millennia chat questionnaire to a dynamic two part interface on the left a sleek form to capture essential details once that's complete the magic begins the chat on the right will spring to life where where i spark will personally
