Everybody is telling you to start an AI business, but nobody is showing you which ones actually make money. Me, I've spent 14 years in the trenches. I've generated over $800 million in revenue through Google Ads. I've managed accounts spending one and a half million a month. And I've built personally multiple seven figure companies from nothing to seven figures Plus. Here are the six AI businesses that I would start with if I was starting from scratch today. Ranked from easiest to hardest. Now look, I'm not going to tell you to start selling ChatGPT prompts on Etsy, right? I'm not going to pretend that you can copy and paste your way to six figures. I've earned over half a million on the Upwork platform and what I am going to show you are real businesses with real buyers who are already spending money. Some you can start this week with nothing but a laptop, some will take you longer to build and have almost unlimited upside. But for each one, I'll break down what it costs to start, how hard it is to learn how to and what you can realistically earn. Not fantasy numbers, real ranges based on what the industry averages are and what the data is telling us and guiding you, literally explaining next steps. So we're starting from the easiest and working up to the one where buyers literally cannot say no. So stick around for that one. Let's go. Number six is almost embarrassingly simple, which is exactly why most people overlook it and why it's a great entry point. AI powered virtual assistant services here's what I've learned being connected to so many successful entrepreneurs. Every successful person is drowned in not in work that matters, in noise, emails, scheduling, research tasks that simply eat a day away but don't move the needle. Things that do not improve their bottom line. They do not need another app, they need the noise to disappear and you become that person. Except now you've got AI doing 80% of the work you're using. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc. They're managing calendars, handling research and automating the repetitive stuff. You're not working harder, you are leveraging the cost to start. So looking at some of the facts, the cost to start, very low laptop and free tools, the effort low. There's no certifications, no fancy skills, just being reliable, resourceful and have a willingness to learn and tweak and adapt is more than enough for this level of income. And that moves me on to the income section. Four or five clients paying you two to five grand a month will take you out of your nine to five. And that, that's 10 to 20k a month. You can do it from anywhere in the world. The macro picture backs it up if you look deeper. The Grandview research, for example, the virtual assistant market is projected to hit 30 to $35 billion by 2030. That's compounding at 20% per year. This isn't a fad, it's infrastructure. But guys, maybe admin makes you want to tear your hair out and I understand that because I kind of fall into that category. Maybe you're more creative. Well, that's good because the next one's built for you. Number five is for people who already spend too much time on YouTube and TikTok. And everybody's telling you you spe spending too much time on social. Well, guess what? What if that became your job and superpower? This is where enter AI content repurposing. Every creator, every coach, every business using video is sitting on a gold mine. They've already created it and they're only using it once. You take their one long form video and turn it into 15 pieces of content. Short clips, carousels, threads, newsletters. You use tools like Opus Clip or Descript to do it in 10, 15 minutes. And it used to take them six, seven hours to do. They stay in their zone of genius. You become their content multiplier. The cost of this low. Most tools have free tiers to start. Even if there is a paywall, it's relatively low effort. Medium. You are going to have to develop some taste for this. What makes a good hawk, A clean cut, a scroll stopping, visual. But all of those things that you need to be sharp on, you should already be sharp on them. Because you're consuming that content daily. You're already at least halfway there. The income 5 to 7 clients at 3 to 5 grand a month, that's 10 to 30k monthly. Doing work that doesn't even feel like work to you. And the wave you're riding? According to Goldman Sachs, the creator economy is set to nearly double from 250 billion today to 480 billion by 2027. You're not betting on a trend. You're literally catching a wave that's already at its crest. Now, those first two are great starting points, low barrier, real money. But what if you want to work with proper businesses and make some proper money? The ones with real budgets and real problems? That's where the game changes. Number four is the one that changed everything for me and it's AI implementation, AI agency. And here's what most people miss. The Companies with the biggest budgets built their businesses before AI even existed. They know that they need it, believe you me. They just don't have time to figure it out. And that is your golden opportunity. Let me give you a real world example. We work with a UK conveyancing firm, legal services. High volume of leads, high ticket. They were spending 75 grand a month on Google Ads. Good leads were coming in, they were drowning, they couldn't follow up fast enough. Leads were going cold, sales team were burning out. We rebuilt their funnel and deployed automated lead qualification. A bot that text backwards and forwards and sends the first response within 30 to 45 seconds, qualifies the lead and routes sales ready prospects to the right person at exactly the right time. We scaled them from 74k a month to 150k a month in ad spend. And here's the part that matters. Profitability went up 78%. Not because we spent more, but because we stopped the leaks using automation. So guys, here's what I want you to do. Go and check your last five inbound leads. How long did it take someone to respond? I'll wait. If it's over five minutes, you're already losing half of the battle. Literally half of the leads are gone. Studies show response rates drop 80% after five minutes. That's not a leak, that's a flood. And that is exactly what you are selling. You are not selling AI, you are selling time back, fewer errors. Systems that run whilst there are, they sleep. Now, to get into this, the cost medium, you'll need some paid tools. That is just a given effort. Again, medium, there's a learning curve here, but you can use AI to teach you how to set it up. Plus YouTube content. I've got literal builds, full builds in closed bot that you can see that handle these inbound leads, feed it the tools, the workflow, what they want automated effectively and it'll walk you through it step by step. Income wise, this one has a massive range. This is a 10 to 150k a month opportunity, depending on the client size and complexity. Market analysis actually projects that hyper automation space is going to grow between 16 to 24% annually, reaching well over 100 billion by the early 2000-30s. Companies aren't automating single tasks anymore, they're automating entire operations. And they need people to build it. But here's the thing, automation saves money. The next business on this list, it makes money and businesses always pay for that. So now we jump into number three and it's the closest thing to printing money that's still legal. Okay. AI powered lead generation. Think about it this simply. If I said give me one pound and I'll give you ten back, how many times would you take that trade? As many as you could. Right? That's what Lead gen is. You're not selling a service, you're selling more customers. And businesses will pay almost every anything for that. So an AI lead generation agency is at number three on the list for a reason. Let me show you what this looks like at scale. We built a pipeline worth £1.6 million for an AV company. Evolution. AV. The approach. Ruthless structure in Google Ads, clean data layer and a follow up machine that never lets a lead slip. Ever. Not once. Now imagine doing that with AI. Doing the research, the qualification, the outreach. Tools like Clay, Apollo, even ChatGPT perplexity can identify prospects. You can cold email with instantly IO and then neverbounce to verify the emails, write personalized messages, book meetings while you sleep and sell them to companies. Not only that, platforms like Upwork are full of businesses desperate for this. I've earned over half a million pounds on that platform alone. All of it from Lead Gen and automation work. The demand is real, the cost to enter is low. Believe it or not, the tools are cheap and free to start. Which is why this AI boom is such a big opportunity. The effort medium to high. You need to understand what makes someone respond. And you need to know that across multiple industries, if you're not going to niche down, you need to know how to write copy. That doesn't sound like a robot. Gets open, gets response rates up. But once you crack it, the leverage is insane. Income 30 to 200k a month. I've seen agencies scale way, way, way past that. Because lead gen is the lifeblood of every business. They can't say no to more customers. Otherwise the business won't remain anymore. Industry reports show the lead generation market growing 17 to 18% annually with AI driven workflows credited as the main accelerant. This market isn't just big, it's starving for people who actually know what they're doing. Now guys, listen. Everything so far is a service, okay? You trade time for money. Even with AI leverage, you still trade time for money. But what if you could build something once and get paid forever? Number two changed how I think about building businesses entirely. And the reason for that is because I never understood that AI micro sasses could make so much money. Instead of selling your time, you build a small piece of software. A product that solves one specific problem and charge monthly for it. And the key here is you're not trying to build the next salesforce. I'm talking about scalpels, not Swiss army knives. Okay. Speed to lead tools for agencies, AI audit apps for specific industries, voice bots that qualify leads for local businesses. Small focused solves one pain point exceptionally well. That's what I'm talking about. And here's why this matters and works. In my world, managing big ad accounts, I've seen how small leaks become floods. A 10% waste on a million pound ad account is 100 grand down the drain. So I build tools that find those leaks negative. Keyword architectures, qualification systems, audit workflows. That is micro SaaS. You spot a specific problem in an industry that you understand and you build the thing that fixes it. The cost medium. You know you're going to need dev tools or no code platforms and potentially depending on your skill level, some professional support. But the cost is far, far, far inferior to the actual return on investment that these make. Effort low to medium. If you're solving a problem you already know intimately, the hard part isn't building, it's picking the right problems to olve. Income wise, 10 to 50k a month in recurring revenue. I know that doesn't sound as Sexy as the 200k that you could have made in the previous one, but when it comes down to recurring compounding and time for money elements, you know, every single customer that stacks on top of one another is just another pound, another zero that you're making. You're not starting from zero each month, you're starting from the recurring revenue. And again, everything I'm bringing you today is just facts. According to Grandview research, the global SaaS market is projected to double or triple by 2030. Think about that. Four years. Somewhere between 770 and 900 billion, right? But here's the real shift. Forbes reports that AI native tools are replacing bloated legacy software. Small outcome driven products are eating enterprise SaaS for breakfast. That's exactly where micro SaaS lives. Everything up to now, you could start tomorrow. And that's what's inspired me to make this video for you guys. But this last one is different. It's harder, it takes longer. But the upside is unlike anything else on this list. Because the buyers literally cannot say no. Number one is one nobody is talking about. Which is exactly why it's number one. AI security, governance and compliance. And I can hear you shudder just as I say that. I know it sounds like something a government department does. Stay with me. Every company using AI right now is sitting on a time bomb. They're feeding customer data into tools that they barely understand, making automated decisions about people's money, health, privacy. And most of them have zero clue about what laws apply or what happens when they get it wrong. Here's the thing. Regulations like the EU AI act aren't suggestions, they're requirements. High risk AI systems must go through formal risk assessment, logging, documentation, human oversight before they can even go to market. Companies have to spend on this. They have to spend money on this. It's not optional. It is mandatory. And who helps them? You. You help them. You become the person who understands the rules, builds the frameworks, keeps them out of legal hell. That will cost them hundreds of millions. The buyers, hospitals, tech firms, financial services, anyone handling sensitive data with deep pockets. Right, they have deep pockets and they're terrified of getting this wrong. The cost to enter medium to high, you'll need specialized knowledge, effort, extremely high, real learning curve. You're going to have to actually understand these regulations and all of the new regulations as they come through. But the income, I can't even put a number on it. It has to start at 100k a month, like a breeze, helping two or three clients. Because when the alternative is a lawsuit or getting locked out of the EU market, they'll pay whatever it takes. And according to Grandview Research, again, the global cyber security market is projected to hit 500 billion by 2030. AI governance specifically is growing at a 35% plus rate annually. And this spending isn't discretionary, it's compliance driven. This isn't speculation, it's inevitability. So on the screen now, you can see six businesses, six different career paths in AI in 2026. Drop a comment below with two numbers. The business you want to start and the one that you're actually ready for right now. And if they're different, that is a very, very deep conversation to have. Because you can actually evolve into one from another. Because the best business isn't the one with the highest ceiling, it's the one that you'll actually begin. And that's just the fact I read every comment. I want to know where you're at. Look, guys, if you're still here now, I'll share a bit of a personal story with you. You know, I started my real entrepreneurial journey at 27 years old. Before that, I was an absolute mess. At 18, I had a kid, split with my partner, fell into depression, drank way too much. And that went on for a good few years as well. I had nothing but the shirt on my back. I woke up one day and I felt 1% better. Out of the blue, about six months in, a lot of worry from my parents. Then the next day did it again. And then again. And now 14 years later, over 800 million in revenue generated through Google Ads. I've handled budgets upwards of one and a half million a month. I own multiple seven figure companies and a life I actually want to live a life that was never possible for me. I'm still friends with that pain. It's what keeps me sharp, you know, is exactly the fuel. So when I tell you that these businesses work, it's not. Theory is proof. And if I can build this from nothing, you can too. I put together a guide below called the 72 Hour First Client Blueprint. I suggest you go and take a look at that. It's exactly how to land your first paying client. There's a couple of looms in there that actually show you how to apply for upwork jobs too. That'll help you do that in three days. Links in the description. It's free.
