Hi, my name is Megan Rose and I'm one of the co-founders of the Pet Summit, which is an online virtual conference community for pet influencers, bloggers, pet rescue, small businesses, startups, everything under the pet world industry. We're here to teach you about everything social media, everything how to how to grow your rescue, how to grow your business, all the things. And every year we pick 4 different rescues for profits to go to, and this year Pilots to the Rescue is one of them. And, um, we're so excited because we just love everything Michael and the team is doing. And there's something so special about going to these places that have high-risk animals all the time, and there's nothing really they can do about it but send them up here. And so Michael makes it easy for them, and we just So I moved to New York almost 10 years ago from Dallas, and I have— I came here for fashion, and then about 3 years into my fashion career, I switched completely to dogs because I realized that dogs are way better than people in the fashion industry. So that's what I did. And I now have 3 dogs in my small Brooklyn apartment. I have 2 Border Collies that are rescues from Border Collie Rescues upstate, and then a Potcake that we found on the beach in the Dominican Republic about 4 years ago. And we brought her back with about 5 other dogs. So I am the crazy dog mom in New York with 3 big dogs. Yeah, and I just, I realized that this is my passion. I work with Global Strays as well. I'm on the board there, which we work with rescues in developing countries. So Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Liberia, and we help rescues down there that need help elsewhere with food, with transportation, with spay and neuter clinics. And so yeah, I'm super passionate about the whole rescue world and helping as many animals as we can. So today's mission was so much fun. We flew to Tennessee. I've never been on a plane like this before. And both of them made me feel so comfortable. It was such a great flight. I'll do it 1,000 times again. I just love the fact that they take their whole day, multiple days a week, to just fly down, pick up 15 animals and bring them back. It's just great. It was so great to see, and the dogs were so relaxed, the cats were relaxed. It was just such a good atmosphere. Yeah, so it was just— they're doing great things. All right, so I'm super passionate about adopting dogs, like, I— and I understand people want certain kinds of dogs, all the things. I have two purebred Border Collies. They're both rescues. So you can get dogs the ones that you want that are rescues. So I'm very into adopting and not shopping because there's dogs like these dogs and cats today that need homes.
