LIVE RESCUE: Volunteer Pilots Save 10 Dogs!

In this live‑streamed rescue mission, pilot Michael Schneider ("Top Dog") and his copilot Daniel transport ten dogs rescued from Southern Pines, North Carolina to A New Chance Animal Rescue in Bedford Hills, New York. The broadcast mixes on‑camera introductions of each dog, real‑time interaction with volunteers, and frequent calls to action: subscribing via the bell icon, sharing the stream, donating through multiple channels (direct cash, Facebook/Instagram fundraisers, Amazon Smile, wish‑lists, and merchandise), and recruiting drivers for future missions. Schneider also explains a brief aircraft landing‑gear indicator issue that required ground verification before a safe landing. Throughout, the tone remains informal, enthusiastic, and community‑focused, emphasizing the impact of volunteer pilots, the importance of donations (both monetary and in‑kind), and the adoption process through A New Chance. The video concludes with a wrap‑up of the successful mission and reminders to stay engaged with Pilots to Rescue.

Michael Schneider, Top Dog Pilots to Rescue. I believe this is our 27th rescue of the year, well over 500 animals rescued. Uh, if you can't donate, I know everybody's not— doesn't have the means to donate. There are many ways to donate for free on our website. And we are having a holiday fundraiser. If you guys start a fundraiser on Facebook or Instagram, you could fly with me, Top Dog, and rescue some of these amazing animals. Hi, Caroline! Hi Denise Noel. Hi Gail Shoup. Welcome. Let's check out some of the pups we rescued today from Southern Pines for A New Chance Animal Rescue. Here we go. Hi Janine. Daniel, how was the flight today? How's it going? Easy flight. Nothing too major to announce, but 10 dogs, did a good job. No hiccups. Weather's beautiful here in Caldwell, so just getting them home now. Awesome. Hi John, hi Tanya, and we have Beth from A New Chance. Hey there, our land pilot, right? That's exactly right, thank you. The one with the minivan, that's right. I call it the ultimate driving machine. I think it can fit 15 dogs. All right, and guys, that's a great thing you can do is you can volunteer by becoming a driver. We all need drivers. All right, Daniel, who do we got coming out first? Uh, what's this guy's name? This might be Roscoe or Roxanne, one of the two like German pups. Hi Tanya, we just came from North Carolina. Hi Marilyn. This Roscoe? Roscoe or Roxanne? Let's see. I think this is Roscoe. Yeah, use these. There we go, it's Roscoe. Roscoe, hi Roscoe! Roscoe, look at the camera. Hey bud, Roscoe, you gotta go around. Here you go. Hi bud, this is Roscoe. And all these animals, uh, can be adopted through A New Chance Animal Rescue. Hi Laura, you're welcome. Hi Brent, hi Marilyn. Roscoe's beautiful. All right, Roscoe wants to go. So here's Roscoe. Come on, buddy, let's get you in with your sister. She's waiting for you. Oh, you got one already? Her sister. Her sister Roxanne. Oh, Roxanne. Roxanne's already here. Hi, Roxanne. Go ahead, Daniel, if you want to open it. Hi, Darcy. Well, we can't open it. Thanks, Tanya. Hi, Amy. Lucas, guys, welcome to New Jersey. Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, please watch your neck. Here you go. Lucas is checking out his surroundings. Oh yeah, there you go, Lucas. Yes, you're so sweet. Oh, Lucas is attacking. Trying to let Lucas in one of the, uh, spots. Come here, Lucas. Come here, buddy. Hi, Lucas. Oh, I mean, unless we're gonna double something. If you guys didn't hear, we're doing a contest. If you start a fundraiser for Pilots to the Rescue on Facebook or Instagram, you'll automatically be entered into a drawing to fly with me, Top Dog, come with us on a rescue mission. We're gonna pick the fundraiser with the most money that raises the most money, and also a random fundraiser. And if you can't donate, because I know everybody can't donate, please go to our website, look for ways to donate. We have lots of free ways to donate, whether it's picking an item off our wish list or becoming an influencer. Check it out, pilotsarescue.org, and click that bell if you haven't already to subscribe to our live feed. All right, we can just do this. Let's look at the next one. It's okay. Who's this? This is Leo. Leo. Leo. Leo. Hi, Leo. Hi, Leo. How you doing, buddy? These animals have had a long journey, that's for sure, and, uh, they're a little, little shy, but they're checking things out. Oh, Leo likes the petting. That's okay, Leo. Yes, Leo, good boy. Yeah, you can feel the energy. Good boy. Very sweet. Very, very sweet. Yeah, he likes the petting and the cuddles. All right, Leo, you want to go? Let's go. Come on, come on, bud. Thank you, Cheryl. That's right, if you're going to shop on Amazon like everybody does, including myself, you might as well choose Pilots to Rescue to benefit from your purchases. Doesn't cost you anything extra, you just have to select Pilots to Rescue as a charity on Amazon Smile. 10 dogs rescued from the Southern Pines, North Carolina area. Thank you, Jen. These look like really sweet dogs though. They're very chill. Yeah, let me get this one in the car. Yeah, that's a swapper for sure. Keeping that one in the crate. Yeah. Okay, that's a skittish— a little skittish, a little bit. Yeah, on the way out. Who do we got here, Daniel? Uh, I don't know. Let's see. You're welcome, Daniel. That's a great hat, by the way. How nice. Where can you get that hat? This can be online in our shop and Facebook, correct? Facebook shop. This is the, uh, I believe this is called the, the Trucker, like, Rancher hat. But that's right, how fitting, right? It's amazing. It's my preference, this one. I know you have one of our, uh, what is that, just like our regular back hats? But look at this, we got some great merchandise. Not printed, guys, it's a stitch, so it's legit. Really good. This is Millie though. Hi, Millie. Millie, you're kind of in and out, huh? Yeah, just kind of checking things out. Just feeling things out. Okay, no rush, no rush. I know, I know. You want to come out though? Come on, want to go pee or something? Hi, Millie. Come on, it's okay, it's okay. Come on, I know. Okay, all right, come on, Millie, it's okay. Okay, okay, all right, easy, easy. This one's a little— they dig in and then they, uh, yeah, they don't necessarily want to come out. It's got to coax them out. Come on, Millie, it's okay, it's okay. Come on, Millie, you're almost there, you're almost there, Millie. There you go. Come on, Millie, much better outside of that crate. We'll wipe you down. Okay, all right. Hi, hi. All right, there you go. A little bit. It's okay, Millie. So pretty. Yeah, you're a pretty girl, Millie. She's a little shy, a little scared. Yeah, are most of these dogs like normal owner surrender, strays, abandoned, right, Beth? That's general. Yeah, I think a lot of them are strays. Some come from hoarding situations, I believe. Right. Sorry, Millie. Yeah, it's usually the same sad story, but it's nice to be able to rescue all these animals and spread awareness about this problem that we have in, in the U.S. Um, and, uh, all these guys will escape, uh, being euthanized and be adopted by loving homes. I think I'm gonna pick her up. She peed. She's a little nervous. Do you have one crate that we can— Yep, we got a crate ready. Oh, you're gonna pick her up? Good girl, good girl, good girl, Millie! She gets a ride. Gotta pick her up like a baby, right? Exactly. Support everything. We got these guys back here, they're having a good time, really excited. You excited? These two are great. Yeah, Cynthia, she is a little scared. Hi, Lauren. Hi, Tanya. Hi, Marie. Okay. Oh, that was you making all that noise back there, huh? Hi, Deborah. If you haven't done so already, if you wouldn't mind hitting the bell, that's how you subscribe to our live stream. You should see a bell within Facebook. Please hit that now and please share this live stream. It helps us get word out about Pilots to Rescue and the good work that we do. And of course, we're raising money for Pilots to Rescue today. And if you can, please visit our website, Pilots to Rescue, for other ways to donate, whether it's wishlists, Amazon Smile, and whatnot. And I mentioned this already, but I'll mention it one more time. If you start a fundraiser for Pilots to Rescue on Facebook or Instagram, you get to fly with me, possibly Top Dog, to rescue some animals. We're going to select one random fundraiser and a fundraiser that raises the most for this year. And, uh, we'll schedule a flight to go together. Hi, Omar. Yeah, Bob, just do a fundraiser for us and you can come with me, Top Dog, for a flight. Hi, Dade. Okay, perfect. Yeah, there's like 2 more small ones. Either one probably work. Okay, I'm gonna put front. Okay. No, yeah, let me put this one in the front. Okay. And then we'll get, um, then we don't have to stack. Yeah, that'll be— looks like Julie is requesting to join our live stream. Uh, we'll give this a shot. Julie helped coordinate a rescue flight we did, so perhaps she wants to talk a little bit about our organization. Thanks, Jessica. It is easy to donate by texting pilots to 50155. Who do we got here, Daniel? I can't read this one. Peg? Is that Peg? Yeah, Peg. Hi, Peg. Hi, Peggy. Hi, Peg. Hi, P. Oh, Peg, you're cute. Hi, Brenda. Hi, Rhonda. Peg's a sweetheart. Hi, Sue. Sue, that's an interesting name. Sue Graham, that's a first for me. What are you feeling for Peg? Peg? Okay, how about right here? Hi, Julie. Julie, it didn't look like the livestream guest request was working, so I shut that off for now, but thanks for joining us. Hi, Henry. Thank you, Dreama. Hi, Lynn. Giving away some food today to New Chance. We get food donated to us from time to time. From our wishlists. Also, we get a lot of crates donated to us from our wishlists. Crates are something that we desperately need. You can purchase crates from Chewy or Amazon Smile, Amazon wishlists. We go through crates like crazy, and we have a decent amount now, which is great. Thanks, Julie. Hi, Brielle. Yes, it was great having you as a copilot. Thank you. Hi Shane. So we got a couple puppers left. Looks like we got 2 left to take out. These 2 guys are gonna come out soon. Hi Shane, hi Suze. Very chill dogs. All these dogs are going to A New Chance Animal Rescue if you're interested in adopting. Hi, Bong. Hi, Sherry. Daniel, I think we only got 2 left and then we're going to sign off. Yeah, this one. Thailand. Unfortunately too anxious to, uh, transfer crates. All right, so we're just gonna— don't give that crate. That's theirs anyway. Yeah, okay. Thank you. I think with some patience, this one will be a great— with some patience, this one will be a great pet dog. Yeah, she's just a little skittish. They all open up when It's understandable to be a little anxious. You're feeling okay, uh, sit on top. A New Chance Animal Rescue is in Bedford Hills, New York. Bedford Hills, New York. It's Westchester County, about an hour north of New York City. Daniel's copilot does a lot of the heavy lifting while I just fly the plane. He also helps me fly the plane too. With comms and navigation, moral support. Yeah. Well, we had a little issue today, Daniel. You want to talk a little bit about that? Yeah, some— I guess something that seemed like it was an issue, uh, basically in the plane when you want to see if the wheels come down, there's lights that light up in the plane that essentially say all 3 of your wheels are down. Uh, we were about to land and saw that one of the lights didn't light up, so we started troubleshooting. Um, Eventually made a safe landing, so all's well there. But we come to find out that it's a simple contact pin on the wheel that just needs to touch, so two pieces of metal. And mechanic took a look at it. But how do we verify that the wheels were down? I think that would be interesting to people. Oh, yeah, yeah. So without knowing in the cockpit if your wheels are down, it's a very scary thing to be in. So we actually— you tell the airport that you're flying into, you say, hey, can someone actually come look at the plane from the ground and see if I have wheels down? Luckily, what do we have? 2 or 3 people that were willing to verify that we had wheels down. Yeah, a helicopter that was on the airport verified that our wheels were down. And also, as we were ascending, we couldn't see anything. We were in instrument conditions and dealing with potentially a gear that wasn't coming down. So you can imagine it's a little harrowing. But we handled it well, and here we are. And now we got some time. It was just a piece of metal that wasn't making contact. Piece of metal that wasn't making contact. Inside the cockpit, it appears as if the wheels are not down when they actually are. So we had to physically verify with someone on the airport that they were down, but we made it. Hi Karen! Hi Cindy! Enough about the plane stuff, you guys want to see dogs. Which dog is this? Last pup, guys. Lorelei. Lorelei kind of looks a lot like we were saying, like Peg. Yeah, these must be siblings. They must be adorable. Super sweet, actually. Doing okay? All right. Oh my gosh, cute cutie. Let's get Lorelei. In the van as well. You ready? Head to your new home. The van on the journey to better, better things, right? All right, Lorelei, and that's a wrap. 10 dogs saved today from Southern Pines, North Carolina, going to A New Chance Animal Rescue in Bedford Hills, New York, about an hour north of Manhattan. Thanks, Cindy. Hi, Lynn. You can adopt any of these animals by contacting A New Chance Animal Rescue. They have a website. You fill out their application. They're a foster-based network, and the fosters will take care of the dogs until you're ready to adopt them.
