They announce plans to expand rescue efforts to include cats and endangered species, and describe their "angel flights" program that provides free medical transportation for low‑income patients lacking insurance. The speakers also explain that PTTR paused rescue operations for six to seven months due to COVID‑19, but are now resuming full‑scale rescues as shelters fill up again and more people are able to work from home and care for pets.

Pilots to Rescue's mission is to transport animals from overcrowded shelters to places where they can be adopted or fostered.
We just want to say thank you so much to our donors.
Besides the good work we do with dogs, we are planning to do more cats as well as endangered animals. And we also do angel flights. These are people that don't have money or health insurance. And we transport them to a hospital or doctor that's willing to treat them pro bono.
We really had to take a pretty big break when COVID hit. We really hadn't done rescues for 6 to 7 months. We're noticing now that the shelters are starting to fill up again. The needs for rescue operations has become more critical in that, in light of COVID people now have the capacity to work from home and raise a dog. So we just want to hit it full swing again. We want to get back to rescues that we know we've been wanting to do.
