Michael Schneider explains how Pilots to Rescue plans to buy a used Cessna Caravan for $2 million. One Caravan can transport 5 to 10 times more animals than their current planes and rescue over 10,000 animals a year. The long-term goal is operating 3 to 5 Caravans across the country.

Future goals for Pilots to Rescue is to get into larger, more robust commercial planes. They're very expensive. We're trying to raise money for a Cessna Caravan right now. Our used Caravan budget is $2 million, but the planes carry 5 to 10 times the amount of animals, and it's a better technology. It uses a turboprop rather than piston, and we'll have more maintenance services, and we'll be able to do more good. My goals in the future is to cover the whole United States with probably 3 to 5 of these Caravans. Caravans and continue utilizing volunteer pilots to fly these missions. So our goal this year with their small piston planes is to rescue over 1,000 animals. I believe even with one caravan, we can rescue over 10,000 animals, and we can do tremendous work with disaster response, which is a, a great use case for these planes.
