In a brief news interview, two speakers discuss the nonprofit group Pilots to the Rescue (PTTR), which mobilizes volunteer pilots to fly rescued animals to safe destinations. They report that PTTR rescued nearly 800 animals last year and aim to exceed 1,000 this year, handling a wide range of species—from cats, dogs, and turtles to a wolf. The operation relies on pilots donating their time and flight miles, and the final step before delivery involves providing simple care items like dog treats to ensure the animals reach loving homes.

Pilots to the Rescue are the ones behind the move, donating their time and some sky miles to save a few furry friends.
I think we rescued almost 800 animals last year. Our goal is to rescue over 1,000 this year. We've done everything from cats, dogs, to turtles. We did a wolf. That was terrifying.
Um, now all they need are some dog treats and they're on their way with the mission of getting these animals to a loving home.
You can see we just stuffed our airplane to the absolute brim, so, you know, we'll, we'll try to get as many as we can. Um, and yeah, to us, the most The important thing is just getting as many as we can.
