Pilots to the Rescue flew 41 animals, 22 cats and 19 dogs, from overcrowded South Carolina shelters to facilities in Massachusetts, New England, and upstate New York where they have better chances of adoption.
Today, dozens of dogs and cats got a new chance at finding a forever home. Pilots to the Rescue flew the animals from Florence to Massachusetts. The 22 cats and 19 dogs came from shelters in Spartanburg and Chesterfield counties and will now go to shelters in New England and upstate New York. Pilots to the Rescue transports at-risk animals from shelters that lack the resources to care for them and takes them to centers where they have a better chance of being fostered or adopted.
