Lori's van carrying six puppies and four kittens breaks down in Mount Pleasant on the way to adoptive families in Virginia. Cheryl from Pilots to the Rescue coordinates an emergency response while Speaker C volunteers to pick up Lori and calls Michael Schneider to arrange an aircraft to get the animals to their homes that night.
Pilots to the Rescue, this is Cheryl.
Cheryl, hello, it's Lori from Mount Pleasant. Oh, hey Lori, what's going on? I've had better days. I am stuck at the side of the road and we have animals on board.
Oh my gosh, you have animals with you? Lori, how many animals? We have 6 pups, 4 Kittens. Oh my gosh, they must be freezing. Where are you guys headed?
We're taking them to Virginia. They have families waiting for them. Can pilots help us by getting these animals to their homes tonight?
Tonight? They're getting adopted tonight, Lori? Can pilots help us?
Okay, here's what I'm going to do. You let me know exactly where you are. I'm going to come get you. I'm going to pick up the fur babies myself. I'm going to call Michael Schneider, and, uh, I'm going to get a plane in the air, and we're going to do this, Lori. Not to worry, I got you.
Thank you so much.
Michael? Hey, Cheryl. We have a situation. It's an emergency.
What's going on?
Okay, so Lori's car broke down. She's on the side of the road with a van full of cats and dogs, and I'm going to pick her up right now.
Oh no.
The adopters are waiting for these animals in Virginia right now. Tell me you can do it, Michael.
