In this informal YouTube interview, two speakers discuss reviving a cat-focused off‑shoot of The Dogist, a popular street‑photography project that currently centers on dogs. They note that cat lovers are passionate and that photographing cats presents different challenges than dogs, especially since cats are less likely to accompany owners on walks. The speakers outline a plan to relaunch the cat series over the next few years, emphasizing the need to find a dedicated "catist"—someone who will visit animal shelters and showcase the many cats awaiting adoption. The conversation ends with an open call for anyone interested in becoming the catist to step forward.

Okay, we're taping. Oh, you mentioned cats. You don't do things with cats too, do you?
Well, actually, I started the cat at the same day as the dog is, but, uh, we haven't really posted in a long time. We want to relaunch it.
We found out on the last rescue we did cats, they're like very passionate people as well.
Oh yeah, the cat people are no joke. I've never had a cat, but I would love to have a cat, and they're beautiful to photograph, but, uh You know, the whole premise of the dog is that I like walk around the streets and cats don't really do that. Yeah, yeah. That's part of our plan also next couple years is I think find a catist. Anyone out there wants to be the catist? I think it basically means going to shelters and featuring more shelter cats because there's tons of cats in shelters.
Yeah, you want to put an official call out for the catist?
Yeah, I think we need a catist.
