Hi, my name is Crystal Rosario. I work in New York City for finance for a PR firm. Today I was able to join Pilots to the Rescue on a mission to North Carolina to pick up these dogs here and this here Max, who's been by my side the whole trip. Coming from Hispanic heritage, during holidays a lot of my family would go to farms to pick up animals, you know, to cook. And I actually went with my family and I stole a duck and I took it home to keep as a pet. I would say since then I realized how big of an animal lover I am. Since then I have now at my home, I reside with 2 pigs, 2 cats, there's 2 dogs, we even have a turtle in there. And I'm actually in school right now to become a vet. So I do volunteer a lot of my time at, um, Horse Sanctuary refugees down in Florida, and I'm thankful that I was able to join you guys today to jump on this mission. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful thing what you guys do here, and it was great to be a part of it. Yearly, there are thousands of animals that are killed and euthanized because, you know, there aren't— they're put in shelters. So I do think it's strongly important to adopt as opposed to breeding and, you know, going off and finding animals when there's so many that would appreciate a home. Yearly, there are so many animals that are euthanized euthanized and, you know, put down because, you know, at these shelters a lot of people aren't going, rather would buy than adopt or rescue. And I truly think it's a beautiful thing to save an animal, save a life if you can. I had such a great time flying down to North Carolina to rescue these puppies. If you guys can, please check out their website, puds2therescue.org or their Facebook page, Puds to the Rescue.
