A short podcast trailer/monologue aimed at high-achieving women who feel frustrated in their marriages. The speaker (a coach) foregrounds three themes—sex, love, and power—arguing that conventional relationship/sex podcasts or religious marital advice do not address the unique needs of powerful women seeking erotic and emotional renewal in long-term partnerships. The tone is compassionate and pragmatic, promising custom-made guidance.
We need to talk about sex, we need to talk about love, and we need to talk about power. If you're like so many of the women I coach, you have a lot of activated power in the world, in your career, as a mother, in your own body, in your friendships. You know how to create a great big life. The problem is, when it comes to creating the kind of love you want, you're frustrated as hell. Feeling turn on towards your husband, feeling partnered with having the kinds of conversations and connection that you're really hungry for are all so often sources of disappointment and irritation. And, you know, it's like, it's hard to talk to anybody about it because so many other people, from a distance, admire your relationship. They want what you have. And it's hard to admit with all the blessings in your life, you're frustrated. It's lukewarm, it's lackluster, and you don't know sometimes if you want to keep going. So I'm convening this conversation because there are unique challenges that powerful women face, and it's uniquely difficult to get good support for it. So this is not one of those podcasts with a giggling couple who are so chummy with each other and have just sparkling, witty banter with each other. This is not one of the wonderful podcasts that focuses just on sex and sex in its widest range of manifestations. And this is not religiously based marital advice that would put you back into a traditional role that absolutely doesn't fit you. No, this is sex, love, power, custom made with so much love for you, a powerful woman who wants to feel fully alive and totally turned on in her marriage. Let's go.
