Tax Planning is a process, not an event

Michael Henninger's firm now offers structured tax planning in two steps: a comprehensive consultation reviewing your entities and returns to find savings, then ongoing implementation meetings to execute strategies. If the tax savings don't at least double what you paid for the consult, you get your money back.

So one of the things that I've said a bunch of times over the course of all the videos that I do is that the accounting profession in general has been very good at looking backwards, right? Telling you what happened in the past. And one of the things that we do with our CFO work is we're looking forward. We're helping you make decisions going forward based upon the numbers and what they're telling us, the different ratios and Helping you build cash flow and profitability and all those things. The other thing that we do is, in a looking forward way, is our tax advisory services. And I feel as though we haven't. I do videos about tax ideas and strategies, but I haven't really put it together in a way as an offering to help people that want that specific help. And I think we have it nailed down now. We're going to be doing tax advisory in a, in sort of a 2-step process, right? First is called a comprehensive consultation. Okay, we're going to take all of the data that you have, your businesses, your rentals, your whole situation, and lay it out in a way where we can start connecting the dots, making sure that your structures are set up properly, your entities are set, are correct, the way you're running rental income and your operational side and all those types of things. We're going to tie all those things together. To see where you are right now. We're going to look at the last 2 years of taxes, maybe 3 years sometimes, and we're going to say, okay, this is where we're— this is our starting point. Here's your entire picture. What are the strategies that we can employ for you in your specific situation to help you lessen your tax burden, sometimes eliminate it, sometimes defer it? And then as we recapture some of that, those tax dollars, Move them into things that build wealth. That's the comprehensive consult, and we'll give you that. It's a you know a document that explains everything we did, the different strategies, and it's yours, right? You can take it to your CPA and have them run with it. We'll help them. We'll you know we'll assist and consult however we can help. The other way is actually helping you implement it through an advisory relationship, and that's something where we would meet either monthly or quarterly to go over the different ideas that we come up with to make sure that you're implementing them properly. If we can. Bring in other people in our network to help you with specific parts of it. We'll do that. That's an implementation phase, like an advisory role that takes, you know, that takes you throughout the rest of the year. And we sometimes will incorporate the bookkeeping into that. We'll incorporate the tax prep into that, but it's more of an advisory role where we're there for you. Like you have questions, you pick up the phone, you email us, we're there. So that's what we're going to start rolling out, the comprehensive consult, and then the advisory implementation piece of that. You know, and you can try one, both, neither, whatever. With respect to the overall idea behind that is if we can't double the cost of that comprehensive consult in tax savings, we'll give you your money back. No questions asked. Okay. But that's how confident we are in what we're doing here. So if you have any questions, if that's something you're interested in, reach out to me here. I'm happy to talk to you about it. We're going to start putting out more content about that. And more specifically, we're going to start doing some webinars. And workshops on specific tax planning ideas and how we can help you implement them. Talk soon.
