Mike McAllen shows a quick stress relief trick: draw an infinity sign and follow it with your eyes. The side-to-side movement disrupts your brain's stress response and gives instant relief, though it's not a long-term fix.
Welcome to Honor Roll. And now, here's your host, Mike McAllen. Have you ever had that moment where stress is just owning you? Well, in this episode of On a Roll, we're going to talk about how to break stress instantly. Of course. I want to thank my sponsors. First American Express. Love you. Skype. Dex Digital, Prevendis Group, Nextiva. Grasshopper. I didn't forget you. I did that for the dramatic pause. So what happens if you're filled up with stress? You can't concentrate, you can't focus. You're like, how am I going to make payroll? How am I going to pay the bills? Here's a quick way to break out of it. Draw an infinity sign. You know, that's like an eight on its side. Draw an infinity sign like this, and over time, make it bigger and bigger and start following it with your eyes. Now, I know this sounds like hocus pocus, but just focus. I am a poet. Didn't even know it. Just focus on doing this. And as you focus your eyes on it and you switch from side to side by doing this infinity sign, your eyes flip back and forth, and you can't concentrate anymore. So much that Emma saying this, I don't even know what we're talking about anymore. That's how powerful it is. It breaks the stress. Now, this isn't a permanent fix, but if you're really stressing out, start doing this, do that in front of other people, and no one will even get near you. They'll be so freaked out because you're bizarre. It's that good. It's the infinity sign stress breaker.
