Hey everyone, this is Mike Andiz and you're listening to episode number five of the Landscape businesscourse.com podcast. Today we're talking about a CRM, a customer relations management system. Alright, first of all, do you need one? Yes, you absolutely do. If you want to create a business that has 15 plus lawn mowing clamps, you have to have a CRM. What is a CRM? It essentially keeps track of all your customers information. Not only does it keep track of their contact information, but also all of the correspondence you've ever had with them. So every single time you make a phone call or they make a change to their service, you make note of that so that when they call on the phone, you can quickly pull up their profile and see exactly what's been done. So first of all, we use lawnpro software.com. that's the software that we use and that is part of the course. If you join and enroll in the landscape business course, that's the stuff that we use and that's the tutorials that I create is on Lawn Pro.
But when it comes to CRM versus not CRM, you gotta have a CRM so that when people call, you have track of all their information. You can kinda juggle everyone and keep in your head their contact information and what their price is and when you last visited them. You can keep track of all that in your head for up to like 10 or 15 people if you're good. But once you start getting over that, it's just super disorganized and it really, in other words, if you keep track of everything and when someone calls, you know exactly what they want, what their prices are, what their last invoice was, what their estimate was a year ago. Because it's all kept track of by the CRM customer relationship management. And that's really what you're doing is you're, you're focusing on the relationship with your customer and by knowing all their relevant information, right when they contact you, by not being able to like take days to get back to them on, you know, what the extra charge was last month, extra $10 on their invoice, like you can just go back on the CRM, see exactly what people were charged and why they were charged, that what days they were visited their property. And so if you do not have a CRM and you plan on making $100,000 in a month in this landscape and lawn care industry, you've got to make sure you get a CRM. Without a CRM, you blend in with everybody else out there, the guys that just have the pickup and the mower, they throw in the back with their dog. And you've got to set yourself apart and create value. Remember we talked about value versus price? If you want to raise your price, you've got to raise your value. And this is a big part of raising your value is knowing about customers when they contact you and being able to contact them back in a timely manner with pertinent information and know the details. And you've got to have CRM to do that. This is Mike Andes on the LandscapeBusinessCourse.com podcast. Check us out for a free webinar this Thursday.
