I guess it's only like six weeks away now. Less than six weeks away to Landscape Summit 2020. It's a Thursday, a Friday and a Saturday and as I've said before, Friday and Saturday. I provide the breakfast and the lunch buffet for everyone that's attending and it costs $299. That includes all the keynotes, all the training, as well as those four meals, as well as a special event that we're holding on Saturday evening for dinner. So really looking forward to it. It's gonna be an absolute game changer. I know for many businesses and the reason I'm making this video now instead of at the beginning of January is because we are going to run out of rooms. We're. We ran out of rooms last year, like the last week before the conference, but this year we'll probably run out of rooms earlier. So we've already ran out of, I think they had told me the other day we ran out of one type of room. I don't know if it was the double Queen or I forget, but one room type is already filled. So if you're thinking about coming, I really encourage you to stay at the hotel. At the venue they give us like, I think that's like 10 or 15% off by using the coupon code that they gave us. But more importantly, you're able to hang out in the lobby, you know, be with all the other landscapers after the conference, breakout sessions and things like that. So I really encourage you to stay there if you can. But those rooms will fill up, so do make sure you sign up right away. Just go to landscapebusinesscourse.com conference or just go to the landscapebusinesscourse.com homepage and click conference. Sign up today. Bring your managers, bring your wife or spouse. Several people did that last year and said it was one of the best things they could do to give their spouse a back end view of what the business was all about and what they wanted to do for the, and how they wanted to scale it and was very helpful for them. So my money back guarantee, before we talk about what we're gonna be, talk what's gonna be covered at the conference, my money back guarantee to you is this. If you come to the conference and it's not what you were looking for, or you don't think that there was enough value, or you think that you paid too much to come, I'm willing to pay not only for your $299, your ticket that pays for the food and us renting the whole venue and things like that, I'm willing to, I'm willing to pay you back for that as well as any hotel expenses that you have from the Holiday Inn that we're staying at. If you book your rooms, I will pay those for you as well. If you leave the conference and you say, you know what, it wasn't worth it, I wish I didn't come, it was wasting my time. That's how confident I am that this is going to be a game changer for the companies that come. I'm willing to pay for not only the, the ticket as, but also your hotel expenses. So I'm just really looking forward to what this is going to do for you. As you set up 2020 going into the year, it's a perfect time of the year. It's the beginning of the year. Setting up your goals for 2020, this is exactly what you and your team, your spouse, your crew is exactly what you're needing. So let me go through Thursday, Friday and Saturday schedule and we'll go from there. So Thursday, we start at 4pm we do a welcome, just kind of welcoming everyone to the event, doing some housekeeping things, and then we play an introduction game. You get to meet a whole bunch of other landscapers, which is really another value to this whole event is meeting other landscapers, companies that are five times your size and then, you know, a fraction of your size and, you know right where you're at and being able to get so many different inputs and answers to the questions you're going through from people that have done it before. So we'll be doing that introduction game. Dana meets each other from 4:30 to 6:00'. Clock. We're doing the opening keynote. I'm gonna be talking about mental blocks and really how people will build up something in their mind when they can see right in front of them the changing in the industry or that they need to make something different in their business. But they literally make a mental block and prevent themselves from making change in their business. And we're gonna talk about how you can get over those things and going through some examples of when people have really built their business or they've done something that is completely wrong. They saw the issue, but they literally made a mental block that kept them from succeeding. And I see that time and time again in small businesses in this industry. And so we're gonna talk about that right from the get go because I don't want people to be making mental blocks throughout the conference, seeing things that are maybe a little bit different, seeing things that are completely different than maybe the way they pay their guys, or the way that they treat their employees, or the way that their culture is ran, the way they do their numbers. And I don't want people to make mental blocks that prevents them from achieving more, succeeding more, growing their business and really being able to take their business to the next level. So we're gonna be talking about that right from the get go. Friday, 9 o', clock, we start early in the morning, after breakfast. We're gonna talk about some of the myths of the industry and why most landscaping companies fail. And those are gonna be based upon the things that I see time and time again of companies that are failing, that don't make it, can't scale their business plateau, burnout for the owners. We're gonna be talking about those things from 10am till 12pm noon. We're gonna talk about P4P. And most of Friday is dedicated to P4P. That's pay for performance. If you haven't listened to it before some of my content pay for performance from 10 to 12, we're gonna talk about why it's so important and why it is very important that you make this transition from hourly wages to pay for performance. We're gonna be watching a video that my staff made about their experience of the transition and all of that. We're gonna have lunch together and then from 12:45 to 2:30 we're gonna actually do calculations. How do you actually run P4P the calculation side? Cause the system's very simple. But how do you use Excel and the software to really make sure that you're actually calculating P pay for performance correctly? Then 2:30 to 5:00 clock on Friday, we're going to actually implement and how do you, how do you actually create your own system? So we're going to create your personalized system for your business, for the size of your business, how you're going to transition from hourly into pay for performance. And that implementation process, there's a three step process we use to make sure that you can go from hourly into paying by performance without losing half your crew or having a big cultural shock or mutiny on your hands. So we're gonna be talking about those things. At the end of Friday we're gonna have a bunch of Q and a.
So after 5pm we'll have Q and A. And that will be so that you can ask any questions you might have do live mic Q and A for that Saturday we're gonna talk about at 9:00'. Clock. 9:00-clock to 10:00am we're gonna talk about how to get out of day to day operations and retain 15 to 20% profit margin. It's gonna be very, very key and instrument that we've done recently at our local shop because I'm now focusing full time on the franchisees. How do we do that? How do we pay the management, how do we pay the guys? How do we make sure the culture doesn't fall apart and yet be out of the day to day operations and still retain a very profitable business when you're seven figures or more. From 10am to 12pm we're going to be talking about some of the new marketing methods I'm seeing on the horizon in 2020 that I see have been working really well. The end of 2019, the ones that are getting more and more expensive now that still might be working, but are getting more and more expensive and I see them starting to fade out in terms of effectiveness and some of the new things I've started to see that really working this industry and really setting you up for success in 2020 as we go into the spring rush and what you can do to grow your business. After lunch. So 12:45 to 2:00pm we're gonna talk about creating efficiencies and standardization. Creating efficiencies and standardization to double your profit margins. Okay? So a lot of people laugh at me when I say this. I guarantee you can double your profit margins by efficiencies and standardization. Standardization of materials, of labor, just so many different aspects in your business. You know, equipment, things that can be standardized. Creating efficiencies for you and your crew to double your profit margin. You can easily go from a 7,8% profit margin to a 15,16% profit margin easily just by doing these things that we're gonna talk about. And so we'll be talking about that on Saturday afternoon, 2 to 3pm we're gonna talk about cut the fat, staying on a disciplined financial diet, and how do you actually run a lean operation, cutting back expenses and things that are wasteful in your business to make sure that every single dollar is going into the pockets of your employees or your pocket as the owner. We're gonna be talking about that and how to create that culture, that frugality mindset within your organization. The last keynote of Saturday is gonna be creating your roadmap to entrepreneurial freedom. We're gonna be talk goals that you have and we're gonna be writing those down. But then we're also going to be looking forward. How do we actually get to the place you want to be at? What is the roadmap to getting to the place where you're out of the field, that you're able to work on the business instead of in it. But not just even that, but really strategically being able to look at the business and.
Have a taste for your entrepreneurial chops and be able to figure those things out. Being working on the business and really scaling it, working on the marketing, working on the hiring. But creating your roadmap to entrepreneurial freedom. For some people, that means spending five minutes a day at their shop. You know, for other people that they still want to work there eight hours a day. But their definition of entrepreneurial freedom is that they can leave for two or three weeks and that, you know, stuff doesn't fall apart and the guys keep working and jobs still keep coming in. So whatever that place for you is that entrepreneurial freedom? We're going to be designing a plan, your roadmap, to get to that place step by step, starting with the 2020 goals. After that Saturday evening, we're gonna have Q and A session as long as is necessary, really. And then we're gonna have a special event at the end where you have dinner with me. And it doesn't cost anything extra or anything like that, but that event will be Saturday evening. Really looking forward to this whole entire weekend. Like I said, I guarantee this is gonna change people's businesses from last year. We had about 50 companies represented and the feedback I got from that was really, really great. And so I'm really looking forward to this year, what we're going to be able to do, the people you're going to be able to meet and seeing the change in six 12 months later, when I get emails, that's really what keeps me going. That says how much it changed their business, their mindset, the growth of their company. And I know that will be the same for you. I guarantee you bring your managers or your spouse or whoever else is involved in the business is going to pay huge dividends for them to get on board, see the back end and really hear from my team at Augusta, my office manager, my estimator, and you'll be able to get information from them and ask questions is gonna be really, really valuable for them as well. Last announcement here. Kind of unrelated from our episode today is that for those of you that are wanting to join Augusta Lawn Care as a franchisee, we have another spot open in February where we're filling up for 10 more franchisees. So we already got 10. They have been trained, they are all back and all getting going here. Got their websites up and everything like that. Next 10 franchisees, those spots are available for February for training. So if you're interested in joining Augusta Lawn Care, those spots are available. And we're giving $10,000 off on the initial fee. So instead of $25,000, it's $15,000. All right, so this is probably the last group that will discount anything in terms of initial fee. But this group is going to be $25,000. Instead of the $25,000 initial fee, it's $15,000. So $10,000 savings. I really encourage you, if you're thinking about it, to do it now. Because if you can join February, it means this gives us the chance to launch your website and get you set up. You get all the systems down, ready to roll before the spring rush, and you're really able to capitalize on all the new leads and the phone ringing off the hook and making sure that you already are implementing P4P you're already implementing the software that we use all those things and utilizing Command center and all that. We want to have those things in place before the spring rush. So if you're interested in joining the franchise, I highly recommend you join not only because of the discount but also because you're gonna be and really take advantage of 2020 by having everything in place before the spring rush. So check it out. If you're Interested in that augustaloncareservices.com franchise you can book a call with me there. There's a whole bunch of frequently asked questions, videos, content there that you can get more information but I really look forward to hearing from you on that as well. But if I don't hear from you there, I hope, I really do hope I see you at Landscape Summit 2020. Make sure you go to landscapebusinesscourse.com conference. I'll see you next time. Everyone. Thank you so much for being a podcast listener and every one of you have a great day.
