I want to thank you again for listening to the Mike Hartman Show. I'm the founder, this is Mike Hartman. I'm the founder of the Hartman Academy, no.com and the book the Healthy Mindset, A Workplace for Athletes and workplace athletes. I want to thank all of my, my guest that has been listening to the show. I think you deserve a big thank you every time because without you, I wouldn't have a show. I want to thank everyone. I mean, we've had a lot of people that have purchased the book that use this book within their life and they got and it's on Amazon and I can't thank you enough. A good review always helps if you liked it and it'd be greatly appreciated. Today we're going to talk about just your health, the very basics of being healthy, having that healthy mindset. That's what the book is all about. And I'm going to talk about being healthy and a lot of us know some of these. But it's really you making those good choices in your life on a daily basis. What good choices are you going to make? Choosing to make good decisions from your heart is important. Somebody said the other day, and I made a joke about it, dietitian that we have, she says you got to go with your gut. So you got to make good choices to make sure you know what you're eating and everything else. But all joking aside, you know, we say, you know, you got to go with your gut. That's a joke, everybody. I don't know if anybody laughed. But making good choices in your eating, in your daily preparation is so important because what this does, this helps you with your overall game. It helps you in your performance in the workplace. This helps you in your everyday life. It helps with clarity, your health. You know, the people would say if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. And I agree on that. I had a concussion. You know, I tell you without going too deep into it, it was terrible. It set me back. It really did. I just didn't have that health. I didn't feel like doing anything. A lot of us are going through some things in our life. We're just things that are not healthy. An athlete, you know, you get like something happens. You get hit by a ball, you get tackled, you're playing basketball, you pull your hamstring. Your health is so important and you have to take care of those things. So if you do have a setback, you have to take care of that if you want to be successful in your everyday life. I believe, you know, for me personally, I can't speak for everybody. When I'm healthy, boy, I feel I'm a lot happier. I feel great. I feel, boy, this is fantastic. But you just don't become healthy. You have to make good choices along the way to be healthy. And I'm not a dietitian, we have one on staff. But I do like a hamburger. I like pizza, Love New York pizza. When I was just living in New York, just outside of New York for the three years, it was like, oh, I loved it. Went back and I, I treated myself. On Friday nights I'd have pizza and a root beer. Yes I did. And that was my choice. But I knew I was going to make good choices. I knew I had to stick to a schedule, a healthy schedule. I exercised every day. I was on a training program that I did. Now I like to skate with some of the local people. Here in Charlotte we have fun. 55 year old washed up hockey players. Somebody might say, but I'm out there having fun playing with these younger athletes. Some of These kids are 20, 23, 24. They play like Division 2 and chasing them around the ice. But it's having fun. And we had Steve Knickerbocker on our short talk about staying healthy. 70 years old, plays hockey three times a week talk. And he was on one of our previous episodes. You could listen to him. 70 years old. He was actually playing against one of the Olympic players that came into Charlotte. His mother moved here from Minnesota. You could go back and listen to that episode. But those are the benefits of being healthy, Having healthy snacks before you know at the right time. And we have all of that within our program and our book. And I can even help you if you don't have a book. If you don't want to get the book. You could reach out to us at Hartman Academy and we could help you with that. Pass it on to the dietitian because that's the whole purpose here. Thankful for everybody that has supported us in our journey along the way. And we love giving back. That's what we do. We want to serve and help you make better choices, good habits and having that healthy mindset. So you're clear and you're going to be able to be more capable and more reliable, and it's going to help you become more responsible in your everyday life. So are you going to go out there and make it happen is the question. It's great to listen to these shows. I've been in listening to performance videos, like taking courses for years. But it's actually up to you to do it. You could listen, we could be motivated. I used to say, people, I always have a New Year's resolutions. I don't know how many people stick to them. They're just a resolution. There's nothing transformational about it. My New Year's resolution is I want to lose so many pounds. And sometimes it's not realistic. But the important for you to understand is to take care of yourself. And we're going to give you a lot of these choices what to do, a lot of them you've heard before, but we want to get down to the nitty gritty of them. We want to tell you why the how and the what. Why are you doing this? And you need it. We've heard this for so many years. And you hear it in personal development. Everybody takes it. I think what they do is they listen to Tony Robbins and then kind of create their own stuff. Me personally, I've learned from some of the best athletes and coaches in the world, and I had an education in professional hockey of studying some of these great people as well as some really smart business professionals that have helped me along the way and mentored me. And I try to take everything I can and give it back to you. But that why is so important. You know, there has to be a why behind things you do or you're not going to do it. And what it is that you're trying to accomplish. What do you. What is the purpose? There has to be a purpose as well. The why and the purpose and then the how. How are you going to do it? I know this book has helped many people that I've talked about. Here we have the audiobook as well, which also has the. The audiobook on audible has the. The PDF to it. So you can go right in there and. And go through this. But it's important that you learn how to coach yourself because somebody always can't be there for you. But it's also important that people hold you accountable, whether it's a development coach, your business coach. I'm a big believer in coaching. That's why I've done it for 17 years. So it's important now that you learn to just take care of yourself, understand, you know, why you're taking care of yourself. I I just want to thank everybody. We're going to do lots of these little segments going forward. We're still going to be interviewing professionals, professional workplace athletes. This is people that work in corporate America to their own private business or they have different careers as well as we're going to continue having athletes on at the highest level as well, professional athletes. But I think it's very important that we work on the mindset part here of what we're focusing on. It's important, again that you take control of your life. You find that why, the how and the what. If we could help you in any way, it would be great. Again, thank you for everyone that has purchased the book the Healthy Mindset. It's a workbook for athletes and the workplace athletes on Amazon. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing that and it helps too if you could leave a review along the way. Thank you again. It means so much and have a fantastic rest of your day.
