We're glad you're here. Now let's dive headfirst into this episode of the Healthy Mindset App podcast podcast. Here's your host, Mike Hartman.
I'm going to do a debriefing for the change Readiness Index assessment. So it's very important that you have that out in front of you. I call this one. This is the one for the workplace athlete. And also you could go back and listen to the Total Wellness Index assessment, which is tied to this Change Readiness. Now we talk about change in life and how we navigate change and how we experience change. We go through processes. There's many reasons for change. Sometimes we, we need to do change for the better, especially if we have some highs and lows in our life. Okay, so what do we need to do to change? Make. Make little shifts, little changes in our life. So that's why we call this the change Readiness Assessment. This is a validated assessment, so you could look at if you want to do a little research. Robert S. Hartman, who was up for a Nobel prize, later passed down to Dr. David Medford from the University of Tennessee. And it's all about values and how you value things and how you go about things in your life. So I've been doing axiology for many years. We call this a short form assessment that you took. But just to do a little research on axiology, I think it's important that you do that. So when you look at the change readiness, we're going to look at Numpage 3. Ideally, you would score on a moderate range from the change readiness anywhere between a 4 and 6 and four being really low. So if it's really low, it's almost like it's under focused. So if you look at page three, let's say it's your flexibility score, then you could read deeply what it means to be flexible. So I'm kind of going backwards here. But your flexibility score, if it's a four, we really need to work on it. So if you're in the yellow, this is something that really needs to be addressed and worked on. You take this and you, you make little shifts and changes within your life. So the flexibility score could be a four. Or, or if it's in the blue, it's, it's moderate. We like that. If it's in the green, it's very important to you. So we, we just want to give you a guide and a baseline is what we do. So when, when we call it your scorecard or your styles, when you look at it, it's just there to help you. It's not a crystal ball, it's there for you as a tool to help you. Then we use all the tools within our community to really help you get to that next level where you want to be. Then the next one would be your adventurousness score. And if it's low, that's something we need to work on. You have to be more adventurous. You have to put yourself out there. If it's high, if it's a 6, 0 or 7, 0 or 7.5 maybe then it's, it's super important to you. The next thing is your confidence score and it's the same thing. You could look at the bars, the yellow, the blue and the green. If we're in the blue, you're moderate. If you're in the yellow to the left. It's something that really needs to work on. And how do we work on our confidence? Now this is not a coaching debriefing, this is a debriefing of your assessment. So we use the self coaching tools to help you that's in the community. But look at your confidence score. Then you look at your overall. If you look at the, if it's high means you have a lot of confidence in yourself. But that could be on the external side, meaning the external world, the outside world maybe not the intrinsic side. So maybe you look like you're confident but really we're not. We look at the optimism score. These are key attributes in your life along with the total wellness that we believe that will really help you. The same thing, the yellow, the blue and the green. So I just want you to think about those, look at those. There's never really a bad score. We just know things that have to be worked on and we work on everything really. But these are things that you need to do. Your passion score, are you passionate about what you're doing? Are you passionate about exercising? Are you passionate about things in your life? If not, we might have to make some shifts, little changes and not a lot. We don't expect you to come in and say, okay, we're just going to make this automatic shift and this change. Now we do little changes. So we look at the same rating, the Yellow, the blue and the green. And we look at the resourcefulness score. Are you resourceful? Do you do your due diligence? Do you work in things? How important is it to you? The same thing. The yellow, the blue and the green on your assessment, your ambiguity score, your tolerance, like how well do you do again, the yellow, the blue and the green. It seems very elementary but I'm going to go on in a little bit here just to go over a few things. In your resilience score, are you resilient at the office? Are you, are you fighting? Are you holding yourself back by not doing little things in your life? Like I mentioned earlier, exercise properly, feeling your body, taking care of yourself. And you look at the blue again for moderate. I always like I mentioned blue a lot first because I always like balance. But sometimes when you're balanced you can sometimes shift way to the left or way to the right, sometimes when we're way off to the right. So if you have a score of a 10.0, that means you could be so over focused on it. So again that's why it's hard to do this debriefing. So we look at some of these here again we like moderate traits. So if you're looking at page four, we like, you know, how do you change? How do you work on change? It's not easy to change sometimes. So we look at your flexibility score I mentioned earlier how to look at your scores and how to improve on it. Again, we use all the tools within the community to help you. Your adventurousness score, are you adventurous? Do you put yourself out there and if not, why like what can we do to help you? I talked about confidence and this applies for, I call that workplace athlete. It's so important. Confidence is so important in your life. It indicates here you could read this. High score indicates you're an individual with a strong self esteem. But if we're lacking some self esteem, okay, how can we get better at that? What can we do to become more confident? And we talk about mental toughness in sports and it applies to confidence. And mental toughness can be learned just like your confidence level. Working on your confidence is important. Be thankful, be grateful. Some of these things, what you're going to learn in the coaching. Again this is not a coaching session or not even our self coaching, but we have all those tools for you. But I want you, I'm really emphasizing on this confidence one because to me it's so important. Your optimism score, like how optimistic are you when we like balance? So if you're balanced in the middle. That's great. Moderate score indicates that you're optimistic. However, there could be times when you focus on the negative side. Like I said earlier, you're balanced but you can go to the left, which is the yellow or, or even to the green. So we do like balance but it's important to. What do we say? Like even in sports. A lot of sports analogies here, even though we're doing the workplace one, but you never get too high, you never get too low, you stay balanced is good and we're gonna have ups and downs. That's just part of life. And that's why we use this change readiness assessment. And then we look at the next one is passion. Do you have passion and drive? And if not, what can we do to help you get some of that? Again, the tools in the community are here for you. The Q and A. There's never a bad question as far as asking us here. We want you to make little changes. Little. Even 1% is good. Are you resourcefulness? How resourceful are you? I mean do you put yourself out there? So I look at this one assessment here that we looked at in high school indicates you always find an answer to a solution. No matter what you're going to, you're going to find a way to make it happen. But you got to be careful with that. We don't want to be one that thinks we know it all. But being resourceful is good. I'm sure there's people maybe in your life that you could look towards for maybe mentoring or asking questions towards. And if you're not, this is where we help again, even if you are, we still believe you should work on it. Tolerance for ambiguity. To me, are you tolerant when things are unclear in your life? How do you handle things? When things are not going your well, not going your way, how well do you handle it? So that's really important that we look at that and how resilient. You know, we look at resilience and to us, you know, are you, are you a fighter inside? If you get knocked down, are you going to get right back up again? That's on page seven. So it's, it's really important that you understand this. Again, the yellow means we need to really work at it. And they're very self explanatory. These, these reports that you can look at it and read it. The blue is moderate but we can shift either way. And the green tells us that you, you are. We call, maybe we look at those people as a doer. So we see a lot of people in the greens, we know they're doers, they're all by their, they're out there doing it. Doesn't mean they don't have setbacks. So it's important again that taking this with the total Wellness is so important. Please go back and listen to the total Wellness debriefing just so you have a good understanding. It's all there for you. Any questions whatsoever you about your assessment, you could ask us right in the community. It's there for you. You could private message myself and ask me hey, what's going on with the score? What can I do to work on it? Plus we're going to continuously add more and more and more and more tools to the community to help you. And if there isn't, you know, if there's something that's not there for you, reach out. One thing that we do have which I think is important especially for the workplace athlete and the athlete is the mind map that we have and understanding how to use a mind map in your own life to help you even within your self coaching journey. Because we can't be with you all the time. So yes, we do coaching, we do one on one coaching. But you got to remember that we can't be there to hold your hand every second. We're there to support you, here to mentor you, here to give you tools to help you so you could achieve your dreams and goals while being mindful of, of everything else in life. We, we have all that. But it's important that you take that initiative and make these small little steps or these small changes as necessary. Any questions? Please use the community and private message myself and would love to help you within your change readiness assessment. The first one is flexibility and are you flexible in your everyday life? So what I want you to do is go back to your assessment, look at your assessment and use this within your self coaching journey to help you. So the tip I want to give you is one way to become more flexible in your everyday life is to embrace the power of small little changes. We're not talking about making these huge big changes within your life, just small little ones. Even 1% a day. Start by making a more conscious effort to step out of your comfort zone regularly. Got to be a little bit different. It could be something as straightforward as trying a new restaurant or going a different way to your office or wherever you may be going, engaging in a hobby you've never done. Trying something different. Step out of your comfort zone a little bit. These little adjustments can gradually Expand your comfort zone and make you more adaptable to change. That's all it is. Change is not easy. I don't think a lot of people love change. I certainly don't love change. But if I, if I have to make a change within my life, I'm going to start practicing small little changes. So additionally, practice being open to new ideas and perspectives. Perspectives and actively listen to others that may help you. This might help you grow as a person. I always could learn from others. Be more flexible. Be more open. By cultivating these habits, you'll find that flexibility becomes a natural part of your daily routine. Like that habit we talked about. Habits and everything else. This is just another habit. Making it easier to to navigate through life with confidence is going to help you go a long way within your flexibility as a person. Within the Change Readiness and Total Wellness Index assessment, we're going to talk about number two called adventurousness. And are you adventurous? Do you get out and you put yourself out there? One simple way to become more adventurous is every day create new experiences within your life. You could start even by making a list, jotting down some activities or places that you've never tried or places that you may want to visit. Things that you might be curious about. It could be something as simple as trying a new restaurant in town or walking on a path or a greenway. We have a greenway in Charlotte, North Carolina and I didn't even really take advantage of it to just a few years ago. And I love the greenway. So these are ways to put yourself out there. Start trying new experiences every week or even every month depending on your schedule. By consistently seeking out new experiences, you'll infuse a sense of adventure into your daily life. And eventually it would happen without you even realizing that you're doing it. This will be great because it's going to help you discover exciting aspects of the world around you. This approach can help you break out of your comfort zone and embrace a more adventurous spirit. Learning more and it's fun like educate yourself. Give yourself a chance. Now I'm not saying just put yourself out there. We could do this in little steps or little chunks. This is your change readiness assessment. And again we use this as a baseline to see where we are now and where we need to be. This is going to help you within your self coaching journey. And today we're going to talk about confidence. And one simple way to become more confident in your everyday life is to practice positive self talk. Pay attention to the way you speak to yourself both internally and externally, replace self doubt and negative thoughts with affirmations and encouraging statements about yourself. This will really help you. Instead of saying I can't do this, tell yourself, I'll give this my best shot. When you make a mistake, avoid self criticism and say I'll learn from my experience. Over time, positive self talk can help you boost your self esteem and your confidence. Remember that confidence is not about never feeling doubt or fear, but about believing in your ability to overcome challenges and achieve your goals. By consistently nurturing a positive and supportive inner dialogue, you can develop a stronger sense of self assurance in your everyday life. And again, it's not that easy just to be confident. It's practice like anything else. Having better habits is going to help you become more confident. We are here to help you through the community. Any questions you can ask me at any time through the community you can private message me. Put it into the feed if you have an open question and we're looking forward to helping you along in your self coaching journey. At this point you have taken the Change Readiness Assessment and we took that assessment just for a baseline to see where you are now and where you need to be and we use this for your self coach coaching journey. Today we're going to talk about optimism and one simple way to become more optimistic in your everyday life is practice gratitude regularly. You may have heard that just practicing gratitude a few moments each day and just reflect on things that you're grateful for, whether they're big or small. This could be your health, somebody you love. It could be even the beautiful sunrise or you might be looking at the ocean outside or or a beautiful tree. It could be a tasty meal. Another thing that I really emphasize is keeping a gratitude journal or simply making mental notes can help you focus on the positive aspects of your life every day. When you are consistently acknowledging things around you, when you appreciate these things, it becomes much more easier to maintain an optimistic outlook. Optimism often stems from recognizing that there are positive elements even in challenging situations and gratitude can help you shift that perspective towards a more hopeful and optimistic mindset. So take advantage of this. Also use the community for Q and A. There's a Q and A area. Ask us anything and we're here to help you. And even around okay, how can I become more optimistic? These are tools to help you in your self coaching journey and I look forward to leading you along the way. You have taken the Change Readiness Assessment and to help you with your self coaching journey. Today we're going to talk about passion. One simple way to become more Passionate in your everyday life is to reconnect with your interest and your hobbies. Set aside dedicated time each week to engage in activities that genuinely excite you and inspire you. Whether it's painting, playing a musical instrument, gardening, or any other pursuit you're passionate about, immersing yourself in these activities can reignite your enthusiasm and your sense of purpose. Additionally, try exploring new interests and revisit old ones that that you may have set aside. By prioritizing your passions, you infuse your daily routine with a sense of fulfillment and a positive impact on all areas of your life, including your energy, your motivation, and your overall happiness. Having that purpose and that passion will give you something to shoot for. You'll feel good about wanting to do it. You have taken the Change Readiness Assessment and through your self coaching Journey Today we're going to talk about resourcefulness. One simple way to become more resourceful in your everyday life is practice solving problems. If you do it like a habit, like regularly every day, you will feel much more confident and you'll be more resourceful whenever you encounter a challenge or an obstacle. Instead of immediately seeking outside help or becoming frustrated, take a moment to brainstorm potential solutions on your own. Encourage yourself to think outside the box and consider unconventional approaches. Additionally, cultivate a habit of learning and acquiring new skills. The more knowledge and abilities you have at your disposal, the more resourceful you can be when faced with various situations. Over time, these practices can enhance your resourcefulness, making you better equipped to handle a wide range of everyday challenges. And you could do this with confidence. So again, be more resourceful. Be more resourceful with using myself in the community. We're here to help you. We're your accountability coach. Ask us questions. Hey, how can I be more resourceful? I'm stuck. We are here to help you, but one thing we do within the self coaching is we want to teach you how to do things on your own. Because as a coach, we can't be there to hold your hand all the time. You have taken the Change Readiness Assessment. This is for your self coaching journey. And now we're going to talk about tolerance for ambiguity. Being tolerant of ambiguity is a valuable skill in our complex and ever changing world. It involves accepting and even embracing the idea that everything doesn't have a clear cut or straightforward solution. To cultivate tolerance for ambiguity, one could start by becoming more comfortable with uncertainty and reframing it as an opportunity for growth. It's essential to acknowledge that life is filled with gray areas and that's perfectly okay. Learning to listen actively and empathetically to diverse viewpoints without rushing to judgment is another crucial aspect of tolerance. By doing so, we could foster an environment of open mindedness and inclusivity. Ultimately, tolerance for ambiguity enables us to adapt more readily to new situations, think critically, and find innovative solutions to the complex challenges we encounter in our daily lives. If you have any questions, please use the Community. I'm here to help you. We have the accountability coaching, we have the Q and A area and looking forward to leading and helping you to the best I can. You have taken the Change Readiness Assessment and this is the baseline to see where you are now and where you need to be and do we have to make little changes. I'm going to talk about Resilience Resilience is a trait that empowers individuals to bounce back from adversity, setbacks, and life's inevitable challenges. Building resilience starts with a cultivating positive mindset. It involves reframing setbacks as opportunities for growth and viewing failures as learning experiences. Developing a strong support network of friends and family is crucial as it provides emotional and social support during tough times. Additionally, taking care of physical and mental health through regular exercise, meditation, and seeking professional help when needed could enhance resilience. Resilient individuals often have a clear sense of purpose and maintain flexibility in their goals, adapting as circumstances change. In essence, resilience is a combination of mental fortitude, social connections, and self care practices that enable us to endure and emerge stronger from life's trials. Now this will help you in your everyday life. I'm here to help you as your accountability coach using the community and it's also important to go back and listen to the audios that we have.
