Welcome to this visualization by the Hartman Dot Academy. Before we begin this practice, please make sure that you have consulted your doctor and are fully able to participate in in this visualization exercise. As we prepare to allow ourselves to journey along this path, please make sure that you are not driving and are in a quiet space where you can relax your mind. Let's begin by finding a comfortable position and allowing your eyes to close. Take notice of your breath and breathe in slowly, taking three deep, cleansing breaths. Inhale through the nose.
Hold.
Hold. Exhale through the mouth. Again. Inhale through the nose. Hold and exhale through the mouth. One more time. Inhale through the nose.
Hold.
And exhale through the mouth. And as you breathe out, allowing the thoughts of today to leave with your breath. Has anyone ever told you that you're not good enough or that you're not going to make it? This visualization exercise is going to show you how to use failure as a tool for motivation. No one wants to fail. It makes you uncertain and afraid. But failure can be a tool that not only motivates you, but helps you to overcome obstacles and find that success in your sport or life. I want you to think about something that you don't want to fail at. It could be a hockey game or a business presentation. And as you begin to think about this, I want you to take the next three minutes to allow yourself to play the story forward, to walk down that path of what you see as failure until you reach the end.

Now, as we return to the breath, I invite you to breathe in deeply. Hold and then let it go. Along with those feelings that you have just experienced, I want you to remember how it felt when you experienced failure. What did it look like for you? You no longer need to be afraid of failure. If you spend your life running away from risk of failure, you will never have a chance. Discovering all that you are capable of achieving. Now, I want you to visualize a giant block in front of you. In this block is what you know as failure. You need to step on this block to reach the level above you that has been just out of reach for so long. Take the next three minutes and visualize yourself stepping on top of that block called failure and reaching up and climbing up and up and realizing and being thankful for how failure has actually helped you be motivated and has moved you closer to achieving your goals and dreams.

As we return once more to the breath, I want you to remember, if you are not continually challenging yourself to grow and stretching your limits you will never see just how high you can go. And remember, I am courageous. I am healthy. I am strong. I am enough. I am happy. I am fulfilled. I am loved. And now, as this practice comes to an end, take one last time. Deep breath in. Changing your focus from inward to outward. And on your release, open your eyes. Gently move your upper body, shoulders, arms, head and neck. Rub your hands together to create a tingling sensation and open your eyes. You've done a wonderful job today. If you feel like you would like a little more time to visualize, please feel free to stay in your breath a little longer.
