Happy New year everybody and welcome to season four. This is our 257th episode and this would never happen without the support from you. And my whole purpose is, is how much value can I bring bring to you. And really that's what it's all about. I've been doing performance coaching for now 17 years, working with everything from Fortune 50 companies, Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, professional athletes all over North America. And it's been something I love to do and my whole purpose is to bring that value to you. So this season four we are going to focus on stories of gratitude and I'm going to start it off with some of the behind the scenes things, things that that may have happened in the dressing room and working with some of the teammates and being around some great teammates and people and people. I went to school with my coaches and then we're going to graduate into having some professional athletes share their stories of gratitude. We have subject matter professionals sharing their story and great coaches and teachers who impact lives. And that's just a big part of what we're going to do. We're going to be doing this for the entire year and this is something that I'm super excited about because everything we do is around gratitude and being grateful and really that's all you know. You know what? I've been practicing for so many years. You've heard me before talk about the importance of being healthy and being grateful for good health and how important that is, you know, overcoming illnesses as well. Some people were sick and now they're, they're expressing gratitude for that. I've also talked about relationships and life is built on relationships. It's one of the first things I, I taught my kids as they got older that relationships are so important and the gratitude for the connections that I have made in my life and I'm sure same for my kids, some of the people they've met within school or camp is so important and we're going to get into achievements and what have you achieved in celebrating your wins and reflecting on accomplishments with all with gratitude. The Importance of nature One thing that I totally believe in is seeing the mountains, making sure that they're in front of you. Sometimes we don't really see the beautiful nature that's around us. I have some friends that live in British Columbia and one of them mentioned to me they really don't see the mountains anymore. And I said, how could you not see those gorgeous mountains? To me, it's beautiful. Or the ocean. I'm an ocean person as well. I love the mountains and the ocean. It's one thing being in North Carolina where you have the. You have the ocean two hours, two and a half hours one way, you have the mountains two and a half hours the other way, and it's just beautiful and you appreciate that. Beauty of nature and learning opportunities. Thankful for the opportunities to learn and grow. And to me that's so important. We have the Healthy Mindset app.com. it's a community of learning. So we focus on three things. Assess. So we assess the situation. We then educate the importance of educating and we learn through the story of the Healthy Mindset book and we take it from there. And we now learn how to self coach because you have to learn how to self coach yourself. And we have all the tools between meditation, visualization and all these great tools for you. But learn learning is so important. We share challenging experiences that lead to valuable lessons and something that I just have so much passion for. I love it. Also the stories of gratitude around families and having families bond together, we're going to get into that as well. The act of kindness and being grateful. We're going to share many stories around that as well. The importance of helping somebody within their lives, how you could impact somebody else's day, not just yourself. Material possessions. You appreciate things that you have. Sometimes I hear people say, well, I don't have this, I don't have that. But we have to appreciate what we have and we're going to be sharing some stories around that as well. Also mistakes and growth. All of us makes mistakes. I don't know anybody that walks on water. If you do, maybe this podcast isn't for you. But we learn. We learn from our mistakes. We have expressed for gratitude for mistakes and we want to personally grow as people. So you're going to get a lot of these through me. I'm going to share these stories with you every week for the entire year. I think this is going to be a lot of fun. I think it's going to help and it's going to add a lot of value your everyday life.
