Welcome back to our short little mini series here. And at this time, we're going to talk about journaling or writing things down. I think it's so important that you journal and write things down. And I really mean write. Go out, invest in yourself, go spend $10, $20 on a nice journal so you could write in it because that's where you could really gather your thoughts and not saying using your notes on the phone. If that's all you have and you want to do it, great. But I really recommend journaling. It's so important that you write down different things that's going on in your life. Even writing down positive things about yourself daily will help. Let's look at the positive things. We have enough negativity in the world out there. So much negativity. I turn on the news, negative people calling about, hey, I have an athlete, but this is what's going wrong with him. I want to know what's going good. So it's important that you write down things about yourself on a daily basis so it keeps your vision alive. We just talked about vision in the last segment of our podcast, the last podcast, having the Vision. But it's important that you see it. And I really believe that it saved me if I didn't write things down. If you as a young athlete, I don't think I would have been where I never would have made it because I continuously had to write things down to have those good thoughts. You could write gratitude things about yourself, it doesn't matter. But continuously journal writing those things down and do it every day. Write down positive things about yourself. Now, I did say there's times where before we go to bed now this is a different thing now. Now before you go to bed, you could use that journal to write things that are on your mind. They might not be great things. You could be nervous about something that's going on as the business athlete or you're nervous about you're the athlete, you have a big game and you're nervous or you're not going to play list what's bothering you. Now we use those things for sleep. We've had our I call her a sleep expert. She's a genius when it comes to. She's a dietitian with multiple degrees and talks about the importance of sleep and eating well and taking care of yourself. And one of the things is journaling your thoughts before you go to bed. You can go back to our previous episodes and listen to the one on sleep. So it's really important that you write things down about yourself daily. If you need any help from us, you could use our app on our site or go to Hartman Academy. Go to the top of the page and you'll see where it says the healthy mindset elearning program for athletes. Those are people that play sports. Now I'm sure there's the business athlete. They may play sports, but this is more on the business side of things because we, like I said early on, we believe that what you do in sports could be the same thing applied to business. So we call it the business athlete. Journaling is important. Get yourself a journal. Any help with this? Just reach out. Reach out to us. We talked about it, even going back a little bit about sharing your story. Maybe add your story to the journal. It doesn't have to be well written. This is yours for only your eyes to see, for you to use. And I could tell you for some of our athletes out there, when I was a professional athlete, one thing we did is we evaluated ourself every five games so you could do that as an athlete. Now maybe let's do every three games. And we played a lot of games in a year. Sure you do as well. But every three games, evaluate yourself, rate yourself. How did you do? Put that right into your journal. That's writing. It could be positive. I mean you could also write some things that are. That you can get better at. To me, that's positive. You're furthering your career and helping you get better so you don't make those same mistakes. There's nothing negative about that. So journaling is so important. You could use it in many different ways. The same thing as the business athlete journal. Things that are on your mind or how you can make things better or where you see yourself and use these tools that we have at Hartman Academy. This is what they're here for. We call this a mini course. The reason it's mini is like I mentioned earlier, if you didn't catch our other episode. I have done over 15,000 courses plus they've taken our course, one of our courses. And I realized that most people do not finish the course. 90%. Not that they're bad. They're well done. We have a leadership course, and sometimes companies wouldn't even start it, they were too busy. So we want to do these little mini tips and we call it like a mini course that you could use to help you become like, you know, for your personal best so you can get better again. Hartman Academy use that area. If we could help you in any way, please reach out. This is what we're here for.
