Today we're going to talk about the mindset of kindness and how it involves approaching yourself and others with compassion, understanding and a genuine desire to promote well being. It's about cultivating a positive and empathetic attitude that guides your thoughts, actions and interactions. I'm going to give you some key aspects of the mindset. Mindset of Kindness so we're going to get into the part of being kind and it's not that hard to do, but you have to work at it. It's like, it's like anything else. I think one of the first things you need to have is self compassion. Kindness begins with being kind to yourself. If you don't believe in yourself and you don't have compassion for yourself, you're not. You're going to treat others the same way. You're not going to be nice to others. This involves acknowledging your. Your yourself, acknowledging who you are treating yourself with, with, with compassion and, and also being patient and you can forgive yourself. Like none of us are perfect. None of us walk on water and we have to sometimes realize that. So we're going to focus on something I call is the mindset of kindness. And the second thing I want to talk about is empathy. I've mentioned that a lot lately. It's just being empathetic towards things or the ability to understand your feelings with others. Being open and honest and being real. Now kindness isn't dumping all your problems onto one person. I'm not telling you to do that, but I don't like when people do that to me. But it's being authentic, it being real. Having empathy allows you to connect with people on a deeper level and respond to their experiences with sensitivity and support. The next thing is non judgment. You hear a lot of that when you talk about mindfulness. But kindness involves reframing from harsh judgments and assumptions about yourself and others. It means recognizing that everyone has struggles and those struggles don't define their worth or if they've done something in their life, something that, that you don't agree with they might have done 30 years ago or 20 years ago or a week ago. Still have that ability to be kind without judgment. Active listening is so important as well. I've talked about listening so many times. When you engage in active listening, you show that you have the value and respect for the other other person and their perspectives and things that are going on. It fosters open communication and helps build a strong relationship Listening. And I use the saying a lot. Are you interested or are you interesting? Be interested in others. But, but be, but be real. I keep saying that I'm not telling you to be fake here, but active listening is such an important part of kindness and we talk about generosity. Kindness often includes acts of generosity, whether they're material, emotional, or a form of your time and attention. Generosity creates a positive cycle of giving and receiving. I've had a lot of mentors help me and that was generous enough. Doesn't have to be just material things, but it all depends on your views. And mindful presence is so important. Being fully present in the moment allows you to engage with people. We've talked about that so many times. It helps you be more, you know, you're more authentic. It helps recognize opportunities to be kind, to respond appropriately. Forgiveness, holding a grudge does not help you in any way. I'm not telling you someone could have done something terrible to you. I, I, that doesn't mean we're just going to be kind and forgive them. But holding grudges or is that this can be very detrimental to your well being. Again, the mindset of kindness involves letting go with negativity and practicing forgiveness both for yourself and others. Sometimes we say, what I heard this before. It's these cliches. Oh, it's a random act of kindness. So small little acts have a big thing. I remember I was in line at a Starbucks years ago and somebody bought my coffee. I don't know why, but it was an act of kindness. You know, engaging in these random acts of kindness like holding the door for somebody or offering them a compliment. It's really, it spreads and creates a sense of community which we're all about, right, the, the healthymindsetapp.com community. And we have that with, with a lot of our people that are in the community. And we have people that just help out others when they ask questions. And that's a big part of what we do. Patience is so important. So kindness requires patience, especially when dealing with challenging situations. You know, dealing with challenging situations or you're dealing with people that are just maybe they intolerate you, they frustrate you, whatever it is. But practicing patient allows you to respond with the understanding rather than reacting impulsively. We take a deep breath. So promotion of well being is something that to me is one of the most important things of priority. Prioritizing, prioritizing the well being of yourself and others. Having that mindset to do that is so important. You make choices and take actions that contribute to overall happiness, health and positive growth. You're playing a sport. Guy said. I've been, boy, I've been talking about pickleball a lot and you know, sometimes it's, it's good to, you know, be upfront, be, be honest and you know, be kind. Prioritize your, your, your well being for it. So if you're, you're playing in a, in a pickleball match and you, you see the other person exhausted or tired, you know, maybe give yourself, give that, give it a reset or a timeout to help that other person. We talk about positivity and helping others. That's just the, I don't know if that's the best example, but you know where I'm going with this. Like, you know, promoting promotion of well being is so important in so many ways and we could take that type of mindset to so many levels.
