Foreign. We're going to discuss week one of using the mind map. So when you're in the app, it's very important that you download this. Or you could have a journal and you could use the circles that is the same or comparable to the ones that are in your Hartman Academy mind map. So within the app, this is for the first part, and if you look at the mind map, and if any of you don't see the mind map or can't download the mind map, you can email me at MikeArtman Academy or message me right in the app. So we talked about a mind map, and the importance of a mind map is it just really keeps you organized and structured and it gives us something to shoot for. So week one, we're going to focus on where it says mental toughness. So when you're looking at that, when you're looking at the map, you'll see the three things that we are working on. Number one is the mental toughness. Number two, which is in the middle, is the physical. And number three is the nutrition. And why do we have these? I believe every athlete and workplace athlete needs to focus in on these three areas. So week one is, is going to be the mental toughness. So right underneath that, you'll see a circle. So if you look directly straight down on the mind map, you could always go back to this. And if you look at it, you could use that empty space. There's like a little circle there. So what, what I like is to help you walk through it. You could add anything you want. We believe that mental toughness can be learned. Definitely could be learned. And the first thing that I would write down with mental toughness, if I was designing my map, my mind map would be mindfulness. Now, you could do anything you want. So directly underneath, I'm a visual person, so I'm going to try to be as clear as possible. Right underneath, you're going to write mindfulness. And then underneath, mindfulness, in that first long box that you'll see, I'll put, let's say fully present, because mindfulness means what? Be in the moment, be fully present, be aware. So I would put be fully present. So when I'm designing my mind map, okay, what am I going to be fully present at? We need action. It's great to write things down, but I'm going to be fully present at every time I walk into the dressing room. Anytime I'm going onto the ice, field or court or course, or I'm walking into the office, my mind is going to be in the moment, in what I'm doing, I could have had things and setbacks and everything else. So the first box, we put mindfulness down. The second box, or the. It's a little square where. I'm sorry, little circle that's going to say mindfulness. The next one is, okay, I'm going to be fully present. I'm going to be in the moment, no matter what has happened. Well, the third thing, let's say if it was my map now, you might write something down in your map. And the purpose of this is, I'm going to guide you through the app. I'm going to guide you so you can ask me questions. Hey, I'm stuck on what do I do? How do you do this again? And this is why we're doing this audio. I would put handling adversity. So for me, if I have a setback in some way or another, it's adversity or God forbid, something happened to somebody I'm close with. But I still have to go back to what Being fully present. I'm going up the mind map. I have to be mindful of the situation. How am I going to handle adversity? It could be within anything that you're doing, handling things that are setting you back. So my next part is, I'm going to go right down to the next one. So this is my mind, man, that you can create your own. You could use. This is energy, bringing good energy into everything that I'm doing. And that is under the mental toughness category. Because there's days where we don't feel like bringing the energy. Right? There's days that you had a bad day at work or a bad morning, something that wasn't going the way you want it to. And these are part of being mentally tough. Okay. How am I going to get through it while bringing good energy to the situation? I'm an athlete. I haven't dressed in three games within my sport. I'm sitting out. I'm a baseball player not playing. I'm a hockey player. They're not dressing me on my college team. What am I going to do still? I'm not going to fold my arms. I'm going to what? Bring good energy in. And we write these down. This is like your journal. And if I look up. So the one we just talked about is what? Handling adversity. So they all go hand in hand. What was the one before that? Being fully present. What was the one before that in that circle? Mindfulness, right? Being in the moment. So if you focus on these, it's going to help you with your mental toughness. This is just a tool and there's got to be some transformation to it. I understand that, but this is why we're using the app. So when we're looking at this, we're just going over these key points. So you're bringing good energy to the situation. I work behind the desk at a dental company, at a dental office, and people don't want to see the dentist, right. They come in, they're nervous. Are you going to bring good energy to your, to the patients that come in? Hey, good morning. How are you? Are you going to be like, hey, how you doing? And they're already disappointed enough or you're not playing. You're going to bring good energy to the team. Not fake energy, but good energy. Well, that all comes from within. That's all part of mindfulness, being fully present, handling adversity. I'm handling the adversity that I'm not playing it all around mental toughness. I'll give you one more. And it's, how do we manage our stress? Now we have stress. There's different types of stress. So within the mind map, we're going to go down one more and we're going to say, okay, manage stress. This is my mind map. How am I going to handle the stress today? What am I going to do? You can't eliminate stress. There is good stress. We stress our body when we're playing sports. We, some of us exercise after our, you know, we would exercise after work or we have to train, right. But managing that stress, how do we use it? Like, and we're going to get into some of the tools later, like the imagery, that's all going to be in your mind map. So I've done here the first. Well, you count the circle. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I've done the first five with you of your mind map. And I want you to create your entire mind map. There's another three to go. You could use this, but this really applies to your life. So this is the mental toughness part of the mind map. And again, we use this map to keep you organized, to keep you structured. We look at this map and we say, okay, this is what I, what I need to do. These are my key focal points of what I'm going to do. Again, I'm here to walk you through this mind map. If you have any questions, please ask it. And if for some reason you're not, you didn't get the mind map that was sent to you within the app. Go to Mike at Hartman Academy. I will make sure that I get this to you. This is the mental toughness part. Week one. Week two is we're going to talk about the physical. We're going to get into the physical, and week three is going to be nutrition. So week one is mental toughness. Week two is the physical side of things, and the third week is nutrition in your lifestyle. Any questions? Use the app, ask the questions. Looking forward to helping you further. And again, take advantage of this, use it, go through this, and there's never a bad question. Have a fantastic day.
