A short podcast Q&A from the Mike Hartman Show addressing whether it is okay to celebrate accomplishments. The Healthy Mindset App Coach AI answers that celebrating wins is important for motivation, suggests listing recent accomplishments and reflecting on how they were achieved, and stresses balance (celebrate but refocus). Mike Hartman supports the message with sports anecdotes (New York Rangers, Mark Messier, Tom Brady) and the episode closes with a call-to-action for Hartman Academy and a note that proceeds/support are being donated to Mental Health of America.
Welcome to the Mike Hartman Show. Mike is a performance coach and former Stanley cup champion with the New York Rangers. Topics on this show are focused around stories, mindset and champions. Mike will also go into details about helping you with your pain points and struggles and finding motivational solutions on how to have the mindset of a champion. Now, here's your host, Mike Hartman.
Welcome back to the Mike Hartman Show. And today we have another question. And the question is, is it okay to celebrate my accomplishments? And I'm going to say absolutely. One of the best ways to stay motivated is to celebrate what you have done along the way. Acknowledge what you've done and how hard that you have worked, be proud of what you have done. I believe it's totally okay. This will keep you going even when times are really tough and when things are holding you back. And we even have this right from our book in the Healthy Mindset for Athletes and workplace Athletes. So I'm going to ask you, it's a question in my book. Ask yourself, what are some of your recent accomplishments that, that you celebrated? List them, like, write them down. What have you done recently to celebrate some of your accomplishments? So it's, it's very important and to do that. But there's another part of it as well is if you ever watched a championship victory, I've watched it many times with several in every different sport, whether it was back in the day with Michael Jordan and after they won, the next thing he's going to tell you is, I want to win another one. And I would say, boy, aren't you going to celebrate this victory? Which they do, but it felt so good. They want to win another one. I remember playing for the New York Rangers and I played with Mark Messier and I watched him cry in the dressing room. And he was always a hero of mine. And I told them that to this day that I've looked up to him since I was a little kid and to be able to play with him was a dream come true. And he never, he never, he was, he was always happy but never satisfied. But he still celebrated the championship. And the next thing he said is, we have to win another one. That was one of the first things he said at our parade. I, I was there firsthand. So I've seen some of this before. Tom Brady, when, when he was winning those championships, you saw the smile on his face. And he was celebrating with his family and he was celebrating with his teammates and the owners. And the first thing he says is, let's win next year. And it's the same thing within a business. If you, if you made a big sale, celebrate it, it's okay. You should be. I mean, what is life about if you can't celebrate it? But you know the old cliche, go back to cliches. You never get too high, you never get too low. Right? That's what they say. You want to stay balanced. But celebrate your wins because it will make you feel good, it will bring you back. And even use that as an example to say, okay, what did I do to get this win? What did I do to make this big sale? And then the feeling of doing it. And remember what you did. Did you take shortcuts? Probably not. So it's okay to celebrate your wins, celebrate a good game, but don't remember. You know, remember, remember. And I'm not saying don't remember, but remember that if you have a game the next night, it's time to refocus. But celebrate what you have. If we could help you anyway, go to Hartman Academy. Ask us any questions. We're here to help you. We are now doing some work with Mental Health of America. So we're donating a piece of all of our sales that we are donating to athletes in our app. So we, we are sponsoring many athletes and we have businesses that are sponsoring some of these athletes and we're donating proceeds of that to Mental Health of America. And actually we're going to start donating, I just found this out recently. We're going to start donating even the proceeds that that we do get on our site to Mental Health of America. And we have all that information for us. If we could help you in any way. Again, go to Hartman Academy. Love to help you. I hope this has helped you. And we're going to keep going with the Q&As and have a great rest of your week.
