Welcome back to the Mike Hartman Show. And today I have another question from an individual that says here, why do people meditate? I find it boring and it does not help me. And okay, so we're going to go into this a little bit and first of all, maybe meditation isn't for everybody. I personally love it. I use it for for many things. We also use it in our practice here at the hartman.academy. i totally believe in it. But there's been a lot of studies that had people that have practiced regular meditation even for a few minutes a day. So even if you could take a few minutes out a day and practice meditation, it's been proved to help you reduce stress. Maybe you have some anxiety going on within what you're doing in your everyday life. Also with depression, meditation helps with sharpening your focus. All these again, I look at it as a tool and I use all the tools I could possibly use to make sure that I am practicing doing different things that I believe in. And one thing is meditation. I just heard LeBron James on on an app without promoting the app too much but unbelievable. He was talking about how he meditates and how he uses meditation in his everyday practice and LeBron was one of the best athletes in the world and you could apply meditation to anything you're doing. So the question is it may not be for you. There's some things that I don't like to do and I'm sure there's things that you may not like to do. So if meditation something you don't like to do, then then I could say don't do it. But there's been different things like it just helps your overall well being. It gives you a little bit of a boost. So if you could try it and remember that's why they call it a practice, because meditation isn't. I'm going to do it a couple times and see if it works. Use it as a practice. Use it to help yourself, even breaking the meditation up into shorter sessions. So let's say you only do it for three minutes just to try it. And meditation, some people tell me, well, it helps me sleep well, it's really not there is meditation for that but there is meditation for sleep, actually. But if you're using it for sleep, great. But there's also meditation that. The best form of meditation that works best for me is sitting. And I've learned to do some sitting meditation because that kept me in the moment. I call that mindfulness. Again, being in the moment without judgment. And yes, it's a little uncomfortable. It takes a while to get used to it. There's other things you could do if you don't like meditation. Like one thing is listening to some soft music just to relax your mind. Close your eyes and just let go. Just take it easy for a little bit. Imagine you're sitting next to the ocean or a place that you like. Maybe you like the mountains. That's another form of meditation because we look at mountains and there's a whole thing on that as well. And we can offer that to you. And I'm willing to give anybody some free meditation. All you got to do is reach out to me. I do have, you know, we have lots of different meditations from walking to sleep to just overall mindful meditations that. That may help you. But again, it's not for everybody. So I hope I answered your question here. I'm trying to get all the questions and I believe in it. Give yourself a chance, practice it, take your time, learn a little bit about it, do some research it and you may find it helpful. Just give yourself a little bit of time. That's what I would. Probably the best words of wisdom I can give you is give it a little time. Well, I hope I answered your question. Have a fantastic rest of your week and looking forward to. We have a bunch more questions that we're going to be answering down the line here and I hope this has helped you.
