Before we begin this practice, please make sure you have consulted your doctor and are fully able to participate in this meditation exercise. As we prepare to allow ourselves to journey along this path, please make sure you are not driving and are in a quiet space where you can relax your mind. Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
And allow your eyes to close.
Take notice of your breath and breathe.
In slowly, taking three deep cleansing breaths. Inhale through the nose. Hold exhale through the mouth. As you breathe in and out. Allow the thoughts of today to leave with your breath. You start to feel deeply relaxed and more aware of your breathing coming in and going out. At the top of the breath, see if you can notice the stillness there and allow it to ground you. In the present moment, allow your energy to sit and quiet itself. Let go of all the things consuming your thoughts. Tell your mind it's okay to wind down and rest. Continue taking slow breaths in and out with your body feeling heavier and more relaxed with each breath, releasing any movement from the top of your head all the way down to your toes. As your body prepares for sleep, as your mind becomes quieter now, allow it to rest on a memory or thought that you are grateful for. Allow that feeling to gently ease you closer to sleep. I am courageous. I am healthy. I am strong. I am enough. I am happy. I am fulfilled. I am loved. Sweet dreams Sa.
