The next segment, we're going to get into goals. And goals are so important. We like to use different things within sports. So imagine if you're, you're playing soccer and what happens if you take the goals away. Well, you have nothing to shoot for. So that's what we're looking for. We're looking for people to develop goals. And what are goals? We're going to start with a measurable goal. That's the first part of goal setting. What is measurable? Sometimes we say, well, my goal is I want to lose 30 pounds. Well, is that measurable? Something that is measurable is something that we can do. Today. The goal is I'm going to be the first one in the office. I'm going to be the last to leave. I'm going to bring good energy in today. That's something that you could do is a goal. Something where, okay, my goal is to make my bonus within the first quarter. Well, we're going to get into that type of goal setting later. But I want you to think about a measurable goal, something that is attainable, something that you can do. And we like to use the same thing within sports. So we use this within sports for our athletes. What can you do that's measurable? I hear it all the time. Well, my boss doesn't like me, so I don't want to bring in the good energy or my coach doesn't like me. So this segment is all about business and being within a company or being within even your own small business, being an employee, having your own practice. Could be a dental practice, like we mentioned early on, worked with thousands of dentists over the years. And it's all the same. It really is all the same. But bringing in something that is measurable, we talk about energy, how important it is to bring that into your business, into your practice. Bring it in because it's contagious and people will follow through with that. What else can you do that is measurable? If you're stuck on this, we could help you just at the bottom of the page. I know a lot of us are listening by podcast, but you can go to Hartman Academy and it's right on that little icon at the bottom of the page and say, hey, can you really get more into what is measurable? Again, measurable is something that's attainable. That's going to happen in the short term and what that's going to do that's going to help set you up for the other goals that we talk about. We're going to get into some short term goals, long term goals, and the vision goals. And we're going to really get into those in the next three chapters. But I want you to really think about this because it's important and it's easy to what happens is sometimes I like to tell an athlete, well, if you're playing hockey and you can apply this to your business, let's say you're playing hockey, that ice rink looks huge and big and but the measurable goal is let's divide the ice up in thirds and let's win the one on one battles on your section of the ice. Wow, that's a lot smaller. That looks like I could do it. Same thing within business. Okay, I got to have so many emails to answer. I have so much to do. I'm overwhelmed. Well, something that's measurable is take a break. Take a deep breath, Break up your emails to the best of your abilities you can. I never tell anybody how to run their business, but I sure could tell you how to set measurable goals. Set yourself up for success. Love working with you. Feel free. Use the Q and A down below.
