Welcome back to another segment and I want to take the time to explain a little bit about what is a mind map and how you could use a mind map to help you with your goals and everything that you do. I think it's very important that you go back and listen to the first episode. It's so important that you listen to all the other nine episodes before this. The first one's about the assessment and, and a lot of you will understand why you take an assessment. It's a baseline, shows you where you are now, where you need to be. Or you could self assess yourself. If you don't want to take that assessment. It always, it goes through having a plan and we talk about all the different types of goals that you need and we go into these different topics so you could help yourself. But I like this mind map idea for anybody that's in business. We use it also in sports and I'm going to simplify this mind map. And if you go to Hartman Academy or if you're either listening to it by podcast, go to Hartman Academy or if you might be on our site listening, you can go into the resource area and you'll see what is a mind map and how do you use it. Well, the mind map is I like to draw these three little circles across so you have you, you're on top and picture three little circles and a bunch of little circles going down the page. As many as you think you need for this mind map. And I want you to focus in on these three areas. So we'll use the example of the mind map that is there now. And the first thing that I really want you to pay attention to is we call that your mental toughness. And why do we focus on mental toughness? Because sometimes you might have a boss that doesn't, that doesn't like you. How are you going to deal with that? So there's ways to practice that and we'll help you. Right there, there's that little icon at the corner of the page at Hartman Academy right there. You could ask us like how do I handle a situation? You may not like your co worker, who you're working with or who you report to or whatever it is in your business. So it's very important that we focus on the mindset, mental toughness. So mental toughness, mindset, it's right there. So we write these different things down on how we're going to take care of it. One way I like to work on my mindset is if I'm having a rough day, I journal all the things that are not good the night before. Now that's just me. And I look at it and I say, okay, so now I got it off my chest. Now what am I going to do to be one with the game? What am I going to do now to stop having a pity party for myself? How am I going to get my mindset in the right direction that I'm going to be able to help my employee or anybody within the company or help yourself, whatever that may be, whatever you do. The next thing which I think is very important is the physical side of the mind map. So the next little circle is the physical. So if you're visual, please go to the Hartman Academy resource area and you can look this. I even put it into a PDF that you could print it and then we're there to help you. Of course, like I said earlier. So the next part is the physical. And what is the physical? I'm not Talking about doing CrossFit, pumping iron, running a marathon, anything like that, but it can be if you're one of those elite athletes that do that, or if you're somebody that, if you work in corporate America and you, you run triathlons, great. But I'm talking about even going for a walk. That's the physical side, working on your breathing. And I know in one of our podcasts we have an expert. Her name is Danielle, and she talks about breathing. I think it's episode 37. Don't quote me on that. I'm not looking at it. But you go back and you listen to her how to properly work on some breathing. And I'm learning it's not just deep breathing, it's short little breaths that may help you. And I'm not a breathing expert, so I don't even want to go into it. So you focus on the physical. Like, how do you practice on your sleep? Craziest things. Like, I just learned. I just learned this, that Kiwi will help you before you go to bed. And I. It's amazing. I'm not giving you. I'm not an expert on that area. The dietitian told me that part. So all of these things are included in the physical Then we talk about the nutrition part and I think that's very important, how we fuel our body. And then somebody might be saying, I remember I was working with a bunch of realtors and I was speaking at an event and, and I told everybody that, listen, I use this mind map and I believe that everybody's an athlete. And I saw a couple of the people like rolling their eyes and I remember one individual said, I'm not an athlete, I don't like it. I don't like sports, I don't even like working out. I said, but we're all an athlete because we all have to mentally prepare ourselves like we do in sports, just like you do in business. You have to physically take care of your body or you're going to be exhausted, you're going to be run down, you can even get sick in some cases. And you have to properly fuel your body. You have to properly take care and fuel your body. You talk to a dietitian, you do your own research on that. But you use those three little areas to help yourself within this mind map. And as you get more comfortable with the mind map, you start developing your own little mind map. Okay, now I have this down especially with the, I have the nutrition down, I have the physical down into what I want. Now I'm going to create my own mind map. I'm going to add leadership to it. How can I be a better leader within the workplace? So we give you the very basics, especially even, like I mentioned, the nutrition. If anybody needs any help with that, let us know. Any of you have kids? We do have a program where we give free nutrition to kids. It's a plant based nutrition, 100% free to one household that has kids. It's a pretty neat program that I do for myself and I gave it to my kids when they were young. So use this mind map. We're here to help you. Any questions? Use that little icon at the corner of the page. Hartman Academy. In case you're on the podcast. Love helping you, please go back and listen to these. And there's a big reason why I've done these audios. And the reason is I'm going to share this with everybody. I wasn't going to share it, but I realized that we did a lot of elearning programs over the years. This is still elearning we call it, but when I had the elearning courses, I have found that maybe 10% of the people would finish the elearning program. And the reason is a lot of us don't have time. Some of us are in our cars now. I say there isn't any excuse. We use the podcast, we have the audios. We keep them short, anywhere between three and 10 minutes. And that's the purpose of it. We're going to continuously bring more and more of these to help you. And if anybody has any recommendations or suggestions and they want to send us a message, feel free to do that right on the website. I love working with you. If you've listened to these all the way through, I have to pat you on the back. I mean, it's great if you listen to 1 through 10 and we call sometimes the 1 percenters that do that. I don't expect everybody to listen to all 10 of these, but if you have, it's great because we look at. When I work with companies, even especially the Fortune 500 companies, I cannot say who this person is. I love this person, became one of my closest friends. Some of you will probably figure out who I'm talking about. But they were in a very stressful business in corporate America. And he said, I know who the 1 percenters are. I go, who? He goes, they're the same men and women that work out, that eat well, they take care of themselves. They do the little things right. They come prepared. And it's a very stressful business that they're in one of the most stressful businesses. And it's. Yeah, and we want to get. We don't talk about money, but it pays very well. But it's extremely stressful. But he picks out. He manages over 550 people at one time and he told me I don't have to manage anybody. They could write their own book on leadership and doing the little things. And that's what I'm here to share with you. If I could share some tips with you and help you. That's my purpose. Thank you everybody. If please share this with others. If I could help you in any way, go to Hartman Academy. Reach out. Looking forward to helping you even more in the long term as you'll get a lot of these audios.
