Welcome back to another episode. And today, this is for the workplace. And I'm going to talk about conceptual thinking within the workplace. I'm going to give you five basic practical tips for conceptional thinking in the workplace. And the first thing I want to share with you, and I've said this to so many different people in the workplace that you want to see the biggest picture. Step back before you react because you got to be careful. Even sometimes we say things that can never be taken back. So understand how each task connects to overall goals and the company's vision. So I'm telling you, in this case, sometimes we have to put ourselves second and really look at what the company's vision is all about. The next thing is ask why often. So ask why. If you don't understand it, it's okay. Hey, why? Like, dig deeper into the reasoning behind these decisions. Not in a way where you're gonna sound arrogant, but in a way that's. In a humbled way. Just ask. So really dig deeper into the reasoning behind decisions. And really this builds clarity and strategic awareness. And that's really going to, I believe it's really going to help you. So I've used a lot of these even within my business and working with different companies. And the other thing is that we have to learn to connect the dots. So look for patterns between projects. It's really, really important that you do that. So what I mean is you're looking for patterns between projects for people or different problems, but just look for certain things. So conceptual thinkers see relationships that others miss. And I hope I want to be clear on that. So, you know, I always say life is built on relationships. And one thing I learned here locally in Charlotte, I've learned is I've joined the Chamber. And for me it was like, I've really never joined a big group like that. I wanted to be more in the community. And I talked to the lady just yesterday who works at the Chamber and I said, well, I really haven't had a lot of leads or I've been to like five different events. You mind if I get a list of everybody that's in the chamber? She says, yeah, you could take the list right from the directory. But everything we do is relationship building, which is so true. And I know that, but we even still have to. What we have to do is read between the lines and say, you know what? It might take time. You know, people have to get to know you before they could trust you. People buy from people they like or whatever your situation is. So make sure that you connect the dots. Think future, just not right now. Sometimes a lot of us are in the now. You know, I talked to, sometimes I talk to people and they say, well, company's only going to pay me this right now. It's a new company, it's growing. But the possibilities for this company over the years could explode. But this sometimes you might, you know, listen, I'm never going to tell anybody how much money they should make. And that's not really what this is about. But sometimes we have to think about the future, not just for now. And the reason I use this one is because I work with a lot of athletes, life after sports. And a lot of us are thinking, okay, we just got done with sports. I want to make big money right now. I want to jump into something. They have to pay me well. And I'm going to say, wait a sec. You have to go through training, you have to learn. There's a lot to do before you just start making the big money. And plus, you have to love what you do for the most part. It's not everything you do you don't love. Some people don't love their jobs, but they show up at it. They don't love their work, but think about the future. To me, it's extremely important. And consider long term effects before taking action. Like some people say, I'm just going to quit and jump into the next thing. And sometimes the grass really isn't greener. And simplify the complex. So break down complicated ideas into simple, clear explanations that everyone can understand. Because sometimes. And we all do it, a lot of us do this, that we'll explain it. And people have no idea what we just said. This might be going on with this podcast right now. You might be listening, you might have to listen again. But simplify the situation, simplify the complex. Like break down complicated ideas into simple, clear under, you know, explanations so people can get that and everyone can really understand and be on the same page. I mentioned this before, that we all learn differently, we hear things. I remember I was talking to somebody and my perception was a little bit different than what was told to me. It doesn't matter whose fault it is or what was said. I hear one thing and the perception was really it wasn't clear to me. So it's important that we really simplify things. I'm going to keep doing these simplified things within the workplace. You know, we have the tools that help you. Even within our website. We have over 30 courses now under the Hartman Academy tab within the Healthy Mindset app.com you can go to. It's free if you want those, you could use those. But again we use the 14 day system, the healthy mindset 14 day system and I'm not here to share too much about that, but that's also good. Really help you that really goes deep into some of these details like growth mindset and how to use it and how to use your skills and tools. And to me it's very effective. But any questions, please reach out. Love to help you and have a fantastic rest of your week.
