McCall McPherson discusses balanced fasting approaches with less extreme regimens like 16:8 instead of OMAD. Research from Rava di Cabo's lab found that 12 hours of feeding and 12 hours of fasting in primates and mice extended lifespan by about 10%.

Have you studied at all a more balanced approach to fasting? Like, I don't know, a 16, 8 or like, I generally recommend people fast no more than four to five days a week and then they eat in a 24 hour period the other days just to keep. Keep our physiology not stressed. Have you guys looked into any other methods other than sort of what I would describe as omad or one meal a day?
Your question is actually, have you tried a less severe fasting regimen? And so Rava di Cabo's laboratories basically wound up accidentally doing this while they were exploring primate dud primate studies further in mouse. And what they wound up doing was feeding animals enough food that basically they ate for about 12 hours a day and then fasted for about 12 hours a day. And that was associated with about a 10% increase in lifespan.
