Can you reverse your Hashimoto's and even get rid of a goiter? I'm Nicole McPherson. I am a thyroid expert by way of being a patient, a physician assistant, and the founder of Modern Thyroid Clinic. I want to tell you a little bit about my story. Someone asked me on TikTok Live today if I would share with them a picture of myself whenever I used to have a goiter. And I will. So stay tuned. Obviously, I no longer have a goiter. A goiter looks like a fat pad right here. It's actually not a fat pad. It is simply inflammation of your thyroid gland and it is indicative of often Hashimoto's or autoimmune thyroiditis. Part of our work at Modern Thyroid Clinic is reversing people's autoimmune diseases, reducing their Hashimoto's antibodies, and with that comes often a reduction in your goiter. So here is my story and pictures. Okay, so clearly I am heavier here. I look super, super inflamed. And if you look really closely at my neck, you see that little fat pad area and that is a goiter. I no longer have any semblance of this.
