A short excerpt from a YouTube interview (host McCall McPherson with a health expert) about treating oneself as the "CEO" of personal health. The guest argues that internal biological data can reveal indicators of chronic disease 10–20 years before clinical onset, and recommends three steps: obtain relevant biometrics, learn to interpret them, and take actions to change adverse markers. The speaker says they guide patients where to get the data, what markers mean, and how to change them.

And I know something you're so passionate about is the idea that people really need to be the CEO of their own health. Right. Tell me what that means to you and what message you want to convey about that.
Thank you. Yeah. I think this is such a critical piece of the puzzle that's missing in most people's lives. So we live in an incredible time right now where we have incredible data about what's going on inside our bodies. This data is important because our bodies are built to be incredibly resilient. We don't feel the symptoms of something going on that's bad until it's almost too late, until our body can't handle it anymore. But the reality is the data that is inside of our body gives us indicators of developing chronic disease 10 to 20 years before you develop the actual disease. We just have to be understanding that we need to, number one, get the data, and number two, know how to read it, and then, number three, know what to do about it. Right. And so what I do is I empower my patients to get the data, and I tell them where to get it from, what these markers mean, and how to change them. And so if you think about it, it's like being the CEO, right? When you own a company, you're looking at how much revenue did you make, how much profit did you make, how many employees do you have? And you look at that data every day, probably, and then you make adjustments to improve that.
