The Pistons and Jalen Duren have agreed to a 5-year, $200 million fully guaranteed contract. Number one, congrats to the young fella. When there's drama around contracts, things happen one of two ways. A, the team moves on and they let the business be the business and they don't take it personal. He can walk in and them guys could be like, man, you got $200 million, dinner on Jalen all year. We happy as hell to have Jalen back. However, that's not common in most places. Most places, uh, players feel like, oh man, you let us down. Now they feel a way. Then there's sidebar conversations, and you walk back into the facility and there's some motherfuckers over here who either works in the front office or in the video room or in the coach's room, and they're like, oh man, he was holding out, and because he was holding out, he ain't in great shape. Oh man, he was holding out. Look, he just missed that free throw and he wanted $200 million. He took $180. Let me tell you, That type of stuff destroys the team. So needless to say, somebody in that locker room has to provide that leadership to let everybody know it's okay. He missed 3 days of camp. Who gives a damn? No one cares. It's fine. We're moving on. He had to handle his business. You stay there long enough, you're gonna run into all these types of things. And this cannot affect the locker room. Woo!
