Draymond Green & Taylor Rooks: Is Yaxel Lendeborg the Warriors’ Next Franchise Star?

It's sort of this, like, past, future, present dance that is occurring in Golden State.

Here's what I will say. The Golden State Warriors has found the next face of the franchise.

Is he from your rival?

Yeah. He's from New Jersey by way of Dominican Republic. They announced him in the starting lineup the other day. And I told him, bro, you went to UAB. You ain't go to that scum place. Get out of here, bro. Go tell them to change your school name.

I love this. Yaxel, new face of the franchise. Tell me more.

We're gonna talk Rookie of the Year next. That's my pick. We had open practice and these are just the types of things that I pay attention to. We do the singing. This dude went up in the crowd and the fans like loved it. They were going crazy. And then one of the fans on the court dancing with him and he went all the way around. And it's just, I don't even think he realized what he was doing. We started off practicing downstairs doing the full practice and then we went upstairs to the main court for the open practice. We're all underneath the rim in the paint. Steve's going crazy like, come on guys. Everybody's over there and he like, he's in the tunnel signing autographs. Steve has to go get him. Literally, Steve has to walk over there and go get him. Like, Yax, come on. But I told him last night, I said, hey, everybody gonna be joking, you're a rookie, people gonna be— don't lose that. Because that's actually what Steph Curry would do.
