I had a doctor who radiology doctors. She specializes in things like X ray, a CT scanner. She was born in the UK, she's British. She said in her 20s she started doing income protection insurance. So she was paying a bit of money into an insurance and she kept trying to cancel it. She said what will make me not to be able to work? How income protection works is that if you're not able to work then you'll be paid a monthly salary. Then December 2020, Christmas Day, she developed severe pain in her eye, what we call optic neuritis and she was unable to do her work again. Now it's five years since then she no longer practices as a doctor. In fact she has had to take an early retirement.
