Ndubuisi Egwim explains how UK doctors can claim back work-related tax relief for 2025. You can reclaim up to £2,500 per year going back four years, and some doctors have recovered £10,000 total. HMRC reinstated online receipt uploads after removing them in October 2024, though large claims or multiple jobs may still need paper forms.

So HMRC has done it again. Doctors and healthcare professionals in the uk, you need to hear this one. So last year, thousands of doctors used my free step by step guide to claim tax relief on GMC fees, Royal College subscriptions, MDU and even exam fees, mileage and all that. Some people got as much as £10,000 back in multiple years. Yes, you can claim up to £2,500 per tax share and you can go back four years. But then HMRC pulled the first one in October 2024. They took us back to the Stone Age, forcing everyone to print receipts and post paper forms. Yes, snail mail. In 2024, as expected, most doctors gave up. I mean, who has time to be printing and posting forms? It was given a little bit disorganized, you know, disorganized energy. Now the good news. HMRLC finally brought it back. The online claims. You can now upload receipts instead of mailing them. And it still applies to gmc, bma, Royal College fees and more. But there are still some exceptions. Right? So if you have more than five jobs, you still need to file by post. For instance, if you look, if you have over 20 receipts, you still need to file by post. And number three, if your claim is over £2,500 per taxi, you still need to file a self assessment. Remember, the self assessment deadline is in two days, the 31st of January, and I've got you covered. For those of you who don't know how to start to claim tax relief, I have a free guide. It's a step by step video to claim tax relief. If you drop a comment below saying free guide, I'll send it over to you. The first 50 people get it completely free. Let's make sure you don't leave money on the table this year. All right then, bye bye.
